Can’t sleep

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I have a hard time sleeping for long because I have financial problems and I’m trying to figure out how to solve them. I really do not like owing even a bill to a utility company. I don’t like debt but I’m in it. Father it’s too much to carry and the solutions seem like a mirage. I feel hopeless and I’m Just tired to keep trying. I’m Asking that you PLEASE help me. My physical health is down as well.

We hear the deep weariness in your heart, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this struggle. The weight of financial burdens can feel crushing, especially when sleep evades you and hope seems distant. But we must remind you—and ourselves—that our trust is not in our own strength or in fleeting solutions, but in the Lord, who is our Provider and our Peace. You cried out to the Father, and that is exactly where your help comes from. Yet we must also gently ask: did you come to Him in the name of Jesus? There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and no other name by which we can boldly approach the throne of grace. *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6, WEB)*. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now, for He alone can carry what you cannot.

The Bible tells us not to be anxious, but to bring our requests to God with thanksgiving—*“in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB)*. You have done well to bring your burdens before Him, but now you must also release them into His hands. Worry will not add a single hour to your life or a single dollar to your account, but it *will* steal your peace and your health. *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ... Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:25, 32-33, WEB).

As for your debt, we understand your distress—owing money can feel like a chain around your neck. But take heart: God is not surprised by your circumstances, and He is able to provide a way where there seems to be none. *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19, WEB). This does not mean He will simply drop money into your lap, but He *will* guide you, open doors, and give you wisdom as you seek Him. Have you asked Him for wisdom in managing what you have? *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). Perhaps He will lead you to cut unnecessary expenses, find additional work, or connect you with someone who can help. Maybe He will show you how to negotiate with creditors or prioritize your payments. Whatever the path, He will walk it with you—if you let Him.

We must also address the hopelessness you feel. Hopelessness is a lie from the enemy, designed to paralyze you and keep you from seeing God’s hand at work. *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence"* (Psalm 42:5, WEB). Even in the darkest night, God is with you. Even when solutions seem like mirages, He is working behind the scenes. You *must* fight the temptation to give up. Instead, cling to His promises: *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB).

As for your health, we know that stress takes a toll on the body, and we pray that the Lord will restore your strength. *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers"* (3 John 1:2, WEB). But we also encourage you to steward your body well—rest when you can, even if it’s just closing your eyes for a few minutes in surrender to Him. Drink water, eat what nourishes you, and move your body, even if it’s just a short walk. These small acts of obedience can be worship when done unto the Lord.

Now, let us pray with you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see their weariness and their burden. Lord, they have carried this weight for too long, and they are exhausted. We ask that You would be their rest—even when sleep flees, may they find peace in Your presence. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"* (Matthew 11:28-30, WEB).

Father, we rebuked the spirit of hopelessness and despair in the name of Jesus. We declare that You are their Hope and their Deliverer. Open their eyes to see the way forward, even if it’s just the next small step. Provide for them supernaturally—whether through unexpected income, wisdom in stewardship, or divine connections. Show them how to manage what they have with excellence, and give them favor with those they owe.

Lord, we also pray for their health. Restore their body, mind, and spirit. Help them to cast their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Give them the strength to keep going, not in their own power, but in Yours.

Father, if there is any area where they have not fully surrendered to You—whether in trust, in obedience, or in seeking Your Kingdom first—convict them gently and lead them to repentance. May they find their security not in their bank account, but in You alone.

We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful. You have never failed, and You will not start now. We trust You to move mightily in this situation, for Your glory and their good. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to meditate on God’s Word day and night. Write down His promises and speak them over your life. Surround yourself with worship music that lifts your eyes above your circumstances. And if you do not have a community of believers around you, seek one out—you were not meant to walk this road alone. *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, WEB).

Keep fighting the good fight. Keep trusting. Keep seeking Him first. He will not let you go.

We're here with you, dear friend, feeling the weight of your sleepless nights and financial worries. It's like you're carrying a heavy backpack, and it's getting harder to walk each day. But remember, Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He's inviting you to lay down that backpack, even if it's just for a moment, and find rest in Him.

We know it's tough, especially when you're trying to figure out how to solve your financial problems. But let's not forget, God is our Provider, and He sees your needs. He might not give you a million dollars, but He promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). That means He'll guide you, open doors, and give you wisdom as you seek Him.

We also want to encourage you to keep trusting in Jesus. Even if solutions seem like a mirage, He's working behind the scenes. Hopelessness is a lie from the enemy, designed to paralyze you. But God is your Hope and your Deliverer. Keep fighting the good fight, and keep seeking Him first.

And hey, let's not forget to take care of our bodies too. Rest when you can, even if it's just closing your eyes for a few minutes. Drink water, eat what nourishes you, and move your body. These small acts of obedience can be worship when done unto the Lord.

Now, let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see their weariness and their burden. Lord, they have carried this weight for too long, and they are exhausted. We ask that You would be their rest, even when sleep flees, may they find peace in Your presence. Help them to trust in You, even when the way forward is unclear. Provide for them supernaturally, and show them how to manage what they have with excellence. Restore their body, mind, and spirit. Help them to cast their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for them. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Keep trusting, keep seeking, and remember, you're not alone. We're in this together.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your burdens before the Lord these past few days. It has been our privilege to stand with you in prayer, interceding for your rest, your financial struggles, and the heavy weight of hopelessness you’ve been carrying. We know how exhausting it is to lie awake at night, the worries circling like unpaid bills, and the body growing weaker under the strain of it all. You are not alone in this—we have been pleading with the Father on your behalf, asking Him to be your Provider, your Peace, and your Strength in ways that go beyond what we can see or understand.

If God has moved in your situation—whether through unexpected provision, a moment of restful sleep, or even just a glimmer of hope where there was none—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the encouragement someone else needs today. But if the nights are still long, the bills still loom, and the weariness still clings, we want you to know we are not done praying. Post your request again, and let us continue to stand with you, believing for God’s breakthrough in His perfect timing. He sees your exhaustion, your integrity in wanting to avoid debt, and your heart’s cry for relief. Do not lose heart, dear sibling in Christ. Our God is faithful, even when the answers tarry.

We are also praying for your physical health—to ask the Lord to sustain your body, renew your strength, and remind you that He cares deeply for every part of your well-being. Lean on Him, even when it feels impossible. Let us keep carrying this burden with you in prayer, trusting that He who feeds the birds and clothes the lilies will not forget His child.

May you sense His presence in the quiet of the night, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind as you seek Him. We are here with you, in Jesus’ name.
