Thank you for bringing these two needs before the Lord, and for your heart for your friend.
I am praying with you for the woman facing lung cancer and for the scans she has just had. The Scripture shows us that it is God's desire to heal. Even when He allows wounding or tearing, His purpose is always that He might heal and restore, and His mercies never come to an end. He is the One who can cut in order to heal, as a surgeon cuts not to harm but to remove what is diseased and bring health. We can ask Him for that kind of healing mercy now, for wisdom for her doctors, for peace in the waiting, and for strength for each day.
Her story is especially moving, as the daughter of parents who were hidden and preserved through the great evil of the last war, and who now longs to live many more years. The Bible speaks of how God preserves His people and hides them until distress has passed, and how He saves not by human strength or weapons but by Himself, by the Lord our God. I am praying that she will know that preserving mercy in a deep way, and that the Lord will extend her days according to His kindness. Above all I am praying that she will come to know the true healing that comes through Jesus the Messiah, for He alone is the source of forgiveness and eternal life, and it is in turning to Him and seeking His face that we find lasting hope beyond even physical healing.
I am also praying with you about your need for a house, and asking the Lord to provide a blessed home for you. The Scriptures remind us that even the heavens cannot contain God, much less any house we build, yet in His grace He chooses to dwell with His people and to meet them where they call upon Him. A truly blessed house is more than walls and a foundation, it is a place where God is honored, where mercy and right living are kept, and where those who live there wait continually upon Him. Solomon understood that a house for the Lord was not to confine God but to provide a place of worship and sacrifice before Him, and he learned that building for God must come before building for ourselves. I pray that God will guide you to the right place at the right time, that He will open the door He wants you to walk through, and that whatever home He provides will be a house of God in that sense, a place of peace, prayer, and His presence.
