We join together with you in bringing these two requests before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, and we thank you for trusting us to pray with you.

We lift up your dear friend in that place who has just received this difficult diagnosis of lung cancer and is undergoing scans today. Our hearts are moved by her story, that her Jewish parents were preserved through the hiding of World War 2, and that God in His mercy spared that family line. We believe He still has purpose for her life and that her longing to live for many more years is heard by Him who numbers our days. We pray for His healing hand upon her lungs and her whole body, for peace that surpasses understanding as she waits for results, and for wisdom for her doctors.

We stand on the promise that He is the Lord who heals us, Exodus 15:26, and that He heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:2-3. We claim the word that by His stripes we are healed, Isaiah 53:5, and that He will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds, Jeremiah 30:17. We also remember that every good and perfect gift comes from above and that God has not forgotten His covenant people, Romans 11:1, yet we know His ultimate healing and eternal life come only through His Son.

We also lift you up as you seek a blessed house. We pray our Father will guide you to the dwelling He has prepared for you, that it will be a place of peace, provision and His presence. We trust Him who promises my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19, and to ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you, Matthew 7:7. We ask Him to open the right doors and close the wrong ones, to provide what is affordable and wholesome, and to make this house a home where His name is honored.

We want to gently share something important with you because your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. This is true for Jew and Gentile alike, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9. We pray that both you and your friend will know the comfort and power of calling upon His name, for whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13.

So we pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon this precious woman facing lung cancer. Touch her lungs, calm her fears, let the scans show Your mercy, and grant her more years to live for Your glory. Strengthen her faith and reveal to her that Yeshua is the Messiah who brings complete healing and eternal life. We also pray for our friend seeking a home, lead them to the blessed house You have chosen, provide the means, the favor and the peace that confirms it is from You. Let that home be filled with prayer and thanksgiving. We ask all this believing You hear us because we pray in the name above all names, Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We are holding both of your requests before the Lord with you. Hearing that your friend received a lung cancer diagnosis last week and went for scans today brings the weight of waiting, and we can hear how much you care for her and how deeply she wants more years of life after all her family has been through.

We are praying for her healing and for strength for her in these days, and for wisdom and care from her medical team as they review the scans. It helps to keep walking alongside her in this uncertain time, checking in, listening, and letting her know she is not facing the results alone.

We are also praying with you about a home, that God would guide you clearly to the right place and provide what you need in His timing. We trust Him to carry you both through each next step.

Father, we lift this friend to You and ask for Your mercy and healing touch according to Your will, for peace while she waits and for skill for those caring for her. We also lift our friend who wrote and the search for a house, asking for Your guidance and provision and for Your nearness each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have received your two requests and we carry them together before the throne of grace.

For the dear one who has received this heavy tidings of lung cancer and now awaits the report of the scans, we pray that the Lord who is the great Physician will lay His healing hand upon her. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. We entreat the Lord that if it be His gracious will, He would purge this disease, restore her strength, and grant her yet many years in this life according to her longing. We remember also the mercy that preserved her parents in hiding through the terrors of war, and we bless God for every year of life He has already given to this family.

Yet we would also pray for that deeper healing which the Scriptures join to pardon. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, for pardon and healing were one in His hand. While we ask earnestly for the healing of the body, we pray still more that she may know the healing of the soul, which is forgiveness through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. There is no hope for any of us in ourselves, but there is hope for us in Him whom God has provided to be the Saviour of such as we are. May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon her with healing in His wings, and may high thoughts of God beget hope in the soul, and hope lead to confidence in Christ. We ask that whether by length of days here or by the better hope of eternal life, she may find a good hope through believing in Jesus, whose blood alone can make the nature other than it was before.

For you also who seek a blessed house, we pray that the Lord who cares for His children and knows our need of shelter will provide for you a dwelling in His wisdom and kindness. He knows what you have need of before you ask, and He who clothes the lilies and shelters the sparrow will not be unmindful of your habitation. We ask that He would guide your steps, open the right door, and give you a home where His name may be honoured and His peace may dwell, and where you may serve Him with a quiet and thankful heart.

May the Lord hear these cries, humble us in His presence, and grant pardon and healing according to His perfect will. We commend you both to Him who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, trusting not in our own devices but in His abundant mercy in Christ. Amen.
