We hear the heaviness and fear in your heart over your loved one's breast cancer diagnosis, and we are moved by your selfless love in asking us to pray for her more than for yourself. That kind of caring reflects the love God calls us to have for one another, and we want you to know that God sees both of you, He cares deeply for both of you, and He hears your prayers even when they are trembling with fear.

It is completely understandable to feel scared when someone you love faces cancer. Scripture tells us that God is close to those who are hurting and afraid. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. He also reminds us, Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. When fear rises up, God invites us to bring it to Him, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and when we do, the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7.

We also take comfort that God is our healer. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. And His promise remains, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We do not know what the outcome of treatment will be, but we know that every day, every breath, and every healing is in His hands, and we can trust Him to work for good and to give strength for each step, including wisdom for doctors and comfort for your loved one and for you.

You mentioned your age, and we want you to know that it absolutely does matter, not because God needs that information to hear you, but because it reminds us that God hears and values the prayers of the young as much as anyone. Out of the mouths of babes and infants you have perfected praise Matthew 21:16, and whether we are young or old, we can call upon Him with confidence.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently share this because it is so important. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father, and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus, we encourage you to believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is by coming to God in Jesus name that our prayers are heard, and that we have hope beyond this life, no matter what trials we face in this one.

So together we bring your loved one and you before the throne of grace.

We pray together, Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift up this dear loved one who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Lord, You know her name, You know her body, and You know every cell. We ask for Your healing hand upon her, for wisdom and skill for her doctors and nurses, for effectiveness of every treatment, and for strength and peace to guard her heart. Comfort her in fear and pain, and let her feel Your presence near. We also lift up this young one who is carrying such worry and fear. Lord, calm their anxious heart, replace fear with Your perfect love and peace, and remind them that You hold both of them in Your righteous right hand. Help them to cast all their anxiety on You because You care for them 1 Peter 5:7. Draw them both closer to You through this trial, and above all, let them know the hope of salvation through Jesus. We ask all this according to Your will, in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our healer and our hope, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing your fears to God in prayer every day, to share them with a trusted parent, pastor, or godly adult who can support you in person, and to continue to love your loved one through prayer, encouragement, and simply being there. God is with you both in this valley, and we are continuing to pray with you.

We heard how much you love her and how frightening this diagnosis feels. Thank you for trusting us with this and for letting us know you are young and scared. That fear makes complete sense when someone so close to you is facing breast cancer.

The first weeks after a diagnosis are often the most overwhelming for families, with a lot of new information, appointments and waiting. It is normal for distress to feel very high at first. It can help to have a few steady ways to walk through it together. If you can, let a trusted adult know how you are doing, a family member, pastor or school counselor, so you are not carrying the worry alone. Ask her what feels most helpful day to day, offer to sit with her at appointments when you are able, or help keep a simple list of questions for her care team. Staying connected and talking honestly about what you are both experiencing matters, and if worry makes it hard to sleep or focus, please reach out to that trusted adult or counselor alongside prayer.

Your care for her, asking us to pray for her more than for yourself, shows real love. Your needs matter too and we are holding you both in prayer.

Father, we lift this dear loved one to You and ask for Your nearness to her in each step of treatment, wisdom for her doctors, and comfort for her family. Give this young one peace when fear rises and surround them both with caring people and steady support. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is a tender mercy in your request that you would have prayer offered more for her than for yourself, and the Lord who sees the heart does not overlook such love in a time of fear. To hear that one so dear to you has been diagnosed with breast cancer must indeed shake the soul, and it is no wonder that you write that you are really scared. Fear in such an hour is natural to us all.

Hear what the Lord says to His people in such affliction, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. It is His own command that His people should comfort one another, and it is my prayer that you both may know that comfort now. You speak of anxiety, and I have found that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. Our Savior said to His disciples when the storm was upon them, O ye of little faith, why do ye doubt. He was asleep in the ship, not because He cared not, but because He had power over wind and wave. He is not absent from this trial. He sees her, He sees you, and His eye takes in at one glance the whole of our lives, past, present and future. You may safely cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.

For the afflicted one, there is a peculiar comfort which the believer may claim, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy word hath quickened me. The Word of God does not always remove the affliction at once, but it quickens the soul within the affliction, and so it comforts us. Sometimes the roundabout way is the straight way. When He would comfort us, He gives us life to bear the sorrow and to hope beyond it. May that Word be your stay and hers, that though water spilt upon the ground cannot be gathered up again, sorrow and sighing shall one day flee away where Christ reigns, and in the meantime His presence sustains in the valley.

You add a word about yourself, as to who you are. Whatever your story or your struggle, know this, you are made in the image of God and you are not hidden from Him. He invites all who are weary and heavy laden to come unto Him, and He will give rest. That rest begins with pardon of sin through Jesus Christ alone, who loved His own and loved them unto the end, and who died to redeem just such souls as ours. He receives all who come to Him with a humble and believing heart, not to leave us as we are, but to give us new life and to establish us in every good word and work. My earnest desire for you both is not only comfort in this trial, but that you may know Him who is our comfort.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this dear one who suffers under this grievous disease, and lay Thy healing hand upon her as it pleaseth Thee. Comfort her heart, quiet her fears, give wisdom to those who care for her, and let her feel Thy everlasting love. Lord, comfort also this anxious heart that intercedes for her. Thou knowest what it is to fear, take away the spirit of fear and give faith to trust Thee. Quickened by Thy Word, establish them both in hope, and draw each one nearer to Thy Son Jesus Christ, in whose name is our only salvation. Amen.

Keep close to the Scriptures in these days, and pour out your soul before God in prayer as often as fear arises. Seek also the help and company of faithful Christian friends and ministers near you, that you may not bear this burden alone. The Lord who has loved you with an everlasting love will not forsake those who trust in Him.

Thank you for sharing this and for being honest about how scared you are. Hearing that someone you love has been diagnosed with breast cancer is deeply distressing, and it is understandable that fear and anxiety would weigh heavily on you right now.

We will pray for her as you asked. We will ask the Father of mercies and God of all comfort to be near to her, to give wisdom to her doctors, to grant strength for each step of treatment, and to bring healing according to His gracious will. We will also pray for you, because your fear and sorrow matter to God as well. You asked us to pray for her more than for you, and we will honor that, and we will also ask God to comfort you in this affliction, to calm your anxious thoughts, and to give you peace that holds you even in trembling and fear.

Scripture says that as sufferings abound, so comfort also abounds through Christ, and that God comforts us in affliction so that we may know His presence in the midst of it. That comfort does not mean we will not feel fear, but that God meets us in it and does not leave us alone. You can bring your fear to Him directly in prayer, honestly and often, and ask Him to sustain both you and the woman you love.

Thank you for telling us a little about yourself as well. Whoever you are, you are made in the image of God and you are welcome to bring your requests before Him. God loves you and invites all people to come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ alone, who is our only hope for salvation and for eternal life. In Christ we have the promise that even death is not the end, for He has conquered it and promises resurrection and everlasting life with Him to all who trust in Him.

We will continue to pray that both of you will know His mercy, His comfort, and His drawing near in this difficult season, and that you will find strength to love and support her well while also caring for your own heart before the Lord. If you are able, it can also help to share this burden with a trusted pastor, counselor, or mature believer near you, and to let her medical team know how you are doing as you walk with her through this.

May the God of all comfort guard your hearts and give you both hope day by day.
