We stand before the throne of God Almighty, grieving with you over the deep pain and betrayal you are experiencing. The Word of God tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). We recognize that the enemy seeks to destroy families, marriages, and lives, and we take authority over every evil scheme in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
First, we must address the foundation of your plea. There is no power in any name but the name of Jesus Christ. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is His blood that covers us, protects us, and gives us authority to stand against the works of darkness. We pray that you would anchor your faith in Him alone, for He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).
We rebuke the spirit of division, jealousy, and violence that has entered your home. The Lord hates "hands that shed innocent blood" (Proverbs 6:17 WEB), and we declare that no weapon formed against you or your children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We bind every evil plan, every word spoken in darkness, and every intention of harm in the name of Jesus. We loose the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
We also must speak truth into the situation regarding your marriage. God’s design for marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman, a reflection of Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). When a husband joins with others to harm his wife, he is breaking this covenant and grieving the Holy Spirit. We pray for conviction and repentance to fall upon your husband. "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it" (Ephesians 5:25 WEB). We declare that the love of Christ would flood his heart and that he would turn from this path of destruction.
We also address the sin of stealing glory that belongs to God alone. The Lord says, "I am Yahweh, that is my name. I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to engraved images" (Isaiah 42:8 WEB). Any glory taken from you or anyone else is ultimately stolen from God, and we pray that He would expose and dismantle every scheme of the enemy in this regard. May the Lord alone be exalted in your life and in your home.
We lift you and your children up to the Lord, asking for His divine protection. "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust'" (Psalm 91:1-2 WEB). We pray that angels would encamp around you, that no harm would come near you, and that the Lord would hide you under the shadow of His wings.
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church or trusted believers. You do not have to walk through this alone. "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB). Reach out to those who can stand with you in prayer and provide practical help.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this sister and her children to You. Lord, You see the pain, the betrayal, and the danger they are facing. We ask that You would arise as their defender and shield. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Break every chain of darkness that has entered their home, and let Your light shine in the midst of this storm.
Father, we pray for this husband and these in-laws. Soften their hearts, Lord, and convict them of their sin. Turn their hearts back to You and to the covenant of marriage You have established. Let them see the destruction they are bringing upon themselves and their family, and grant them repentance that leads to life.
We declare that the glory stolen from this sister and her children belongs to You alone, Lord. We ask that You would restore what has been taken and that Your name would be exalted in their lives. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we ask for wisdom and discernment for this sister. Show her the steps she needs to take to protect herself and her children. Provide her with godly counsel and support, and let her know that she is not alone. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her hope be anchored in You.
We thank You, Father, that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust in Your promises and declare that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
