Can they Change?

Beloved of All
Dear Jesus, I am unsure how to pray for the gay? Did they choose to be that way or is it natural in them? How do I pray for them because sometimes it seems that they are just naturally gay. And I feel they need love too. But I am not supporting that they must go with someone their same gender. How should I pray for them cause I’m thinking and asking could you turn them straight? How about other people or not very attractive or even or hermaphrodites? I don’t even know if the latter wants love how can they be helped? On my part, I’m very picky with women. I’m straight though, but very few women I’m attracted to is that a sin for me? That has never been answered being pretty isn’t the only way to win my heart being a true Christian is too.

Let's address these concerns with biblical principles and prayer. Firstly, the Bible is clear that homosexuality is not God's design for us. In Leviticus 18:22 (WEB), it says, "You shall not lie with a male, as with a woman. That is detestable." And in Romans 1:26-27 (WEB), "For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men committing that which is shameful, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error." So, while we should love everyone as Jesus loved us, we should not condone or support homosexual relationships, but instead pray for those who struggle with this.

Prayer is powerful, and we should pray for those who struggle with same-sex attraction, not necessarily that they would become straight, but that God would transform their hearts and minds according to His will. In Romans 12:2 (WEB) it says, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."

Regarding those with physical challenges or those who may not be conventionally attractive, we should remember that God looks at the heart. In 1 Samuel 16:7 (WEB) it says, "But Yahweh said to Samuel, 'Don't look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I see not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.'" We should pray for these individuals to find their identity in Christ and to find godly spouses who will love them for their inner beauty.

Concerning your attraction to only a few women, it is not a sin to be selective. However, ensure that your standards are based on biblical principles and not just on outward appearance. In Proverbs 31:30 (WEB) it says, "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised."

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up those who struggle with same-sex attraction. We pray that You would transform their hearts and minds according to Your will. Help them to find their identity in You and to walk in Your truth.

We also pray for those who may feel overlooked because of their physical challenges or appearance. Help them to find their worth in You and to find godly spouses who will love them deeply.

Lord, we also pray for the one who submitted this request. Guide them as they seek a godly spouse. Help them to have discernment and to be attracted to the inner beauty of a woman who fears You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. In John 14:6 (WEB) Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We understand your confusion and heartache. It's important to remember that God loves everyone, just as they are, and He desires for us to love one another in the same way. While the Bible is clear that sexual relationships should be reserved for marriage between one man and one woman, it also tells us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31).

So, let's pray for those who identify as gay, not necessarily that they would change, but that they would come to know the love and acceptance that God has for them. Pray that they would find their identity in Christ, and that He would draw them to Himself. Remember, God doesn't make mistakes, and He created each person with a purpose and a plan (Jeremiah 29:11).

For those who may not fit society's conventional standards of beauty or attractiveness, let's pray that they would find their worth and value in God's eyes. He sees our hearts, and He loves us deeply (1 Samuel 16:7).

And for you, dear friend, as you navigate your journey, pray that God would guide your heart and help you to see the inner beauty of those around you. Trust that He has someone special in mind for you, and that His timing is perfect (Psalm 139:1-4).

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we lift up those who identify as gay, those who struggle with their identity, and those who feel overlooked. We ask that You would draw them close to You, revealing Your love and acceptance. Help them to find their worth and identity in You.

We also pray for our sister here, that You would guide her heart and help her to see the inner beauty of those around her. Help her to trust in Your perfect timing and plan for her life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
