We hear the anguish in your words and we join with you in bringing this furious hurt before the Lord, for He sees the injustice that has left you unable even to cry and beside yourself with how to handle it. We thank you for calling on the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find mercy and help in time of need. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6.

Your anger at injustice is not unseen by God. He is a God of perfect justice and compassion, and He draws near when we are overwhelmed. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. You put my tears into your bottle. Aren't they in your book Psalm 56:8. Even when tears will not come, He knows the weight in your chest and bottling of your grief, and He invites you to cast it on Him. Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.

We want to gently encourage you in how to handle this fury so that it does not take root as bitterness or lead you into sin. Scripture says, Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, and don't give place to the devil Ephesians 4:26-27. The anger itself at wrongdoing is not sin, but what we do with it matters. The anger of man doesn't produce the righteousness of God James 1:20, so we are called to be slow to anger and quick to listen James 1:19. And when we have spoken too soon, as you mentioned with the doctor, we understand that regret. Whoever guards his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles Proverbs 21:23. God can redeem even hasty words and He can guard your future steps as you commit your way to Him.

We also remember that vengeance and vindication belong to the Lord, not to us to carry. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. That does not mean the injustice does not matter, it means we can release the burden of repaying it into His just and sovereign hands and trust Him to act in His perfect time. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. He will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noon day sun Psalm 37:5-6.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ on behalf of our dear one who is furious and wounded by injustice and cannot even weep. Lord, You see what has been done and what has been said, You know the details of this situation with the doctor and the words spoken too soon, and You know the turmoil inside. We ask You to pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Calm the storm within, soften the fury without letting the sense of justice be lost, and help our beloved to Be still, and know that I am God Psalm 46:10. Teach us to release this injustice into Your hands, to forgive as You have forgiven us, and to trust You as our defender and judge. Give wisdom for what to say and what not to say going forward, guard the tongue, and open a way for truth to be revealed and for healing to come. Let tears come when they need to come and let Your comfort be felt even now. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Savior and Advocate, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing this honestly to God in prayer, to breathe and pray before responding, to write out your thoughts to the Lord, and if possible to seek wise godly counsel from a trusted pastor or believer who can walk with you through these next steps. Do not carry this alone. The Lord is with you and He will help you handle this one day and one prayer at a time.

We have been praying as we read your note. Being so furious you cannot even cry is an exhausting place to be, and feeling beside yourself after sensing an injustice makes it even harder to know what to do next.

What you are feeling makes sense. Anger often works like a signal, alerting us that something we value has felt threatened or that a hurt, frustration or fear is underneath. It brings a lot of energy with it, and that energy can push us to react quickly before we have had time to sort out what is driving it.

When you have a little space and feel a bit steadier, it can help to gently ask what is under the fury. Is it mostly hurt about being misunderstood, frustration about how things unfolded after you spoke to the doctor, or worry about what will happen now. Jotting down just the facts of what happened and the one or two feelings that feel strongest can make it clearer to bring to the Lord and, if helpful, to share with one trusted, level headed person such as a pastor or counselor before deciding any next steps. We encourage you to pause on any big decisions or messages while the anger is at its peak.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see this injustice and the turmoil it has caused. Bring calm where there is fury, clarity where there is confusion, and wisdom for each next step. Guard their heart and help them sense Your presence and direction today. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry has come up before the Lord even though tears will not come, and He who knows the heart understands the fury that chokes the voice. To be beside yourself with a sense of injustice, to feel that a word spoken too soon has been turned against you, is a bitter trial, and it is right to bring it plainly to God in the name of Jesus.

Remember that the Lord is not blind to injustice. He is the God of the whole earth who will do right, and He will never exact a penalty where none is due nor overlook a wrong. Our Lord Himself knew what it was to be betrayed and misjudged. In His betrayal Scripture was fulfilled and the malice of men was permitted, yet God in His wisdom overruled it, for He is wiser than the adversary and outwits the prince of evil. In that, Christ became able to sympathize with you in every point, for He too was wounded by those from whom He might have expected better. Your sorrow therefore is not hidden from Him.

You speak of having spoken too soon, even to one who seemed to have no reason for envy. If in haste or in weakness you have spoken amiss, hear the gracious word which the Lord Himself repeats as if surprised by His own mercy, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. There is forgiveness with Him. It is a divine forgiveness, a surprising forgiveness, a complete and eternal forgiveness. It is not a forgiveness up to a certain point or up to a certain date, but a full forgiveness through the blood of Christ, who bore the punishment that justice required, so that God remains just and yet the justifier of him that believeth. If you tremble with a penitent heart and desire that forgiveness, it is already provided. The record of debt is nailed to the cross, and He keeps no back reckonings against those who come to Him.

And as you have received such forgiveness, so you are called to live in that same spirit toward those who have wronged you. This does not mean that injustice is not injustice, nor that you must call evil good. It means that you may leave vengeance with Him who judges righteously, and keep your own heart from being hardened by wrath. Be angry and yet do not sin. Pour out your fury before the Lord rather than letting it fester within. Tell Him plainly of the wrong as you feel it, and ask Him to keep you, to give you wisdom for what to do and what to leave alone, and to guard your lips for the time to come.

May the Lord help you in this hour. May He give you calm when you cannot weep, and tears in His own time when they will relieve you. May He show you what is yours to do and what is His to overrule, and may He keep your heart in perfect peace as you trust in Him. We ask that He would vindicate what is right, restrain what is wrong, forgive what needs forgiveness in you and in others, and lift this burden from you, for Jesus sake. There is forgiveness with Him, and there is help with Him, even now.
