We join with you in lifting up this urgent situation before the Lord, and we are deeply grateful that you have come before Him in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the authority to stand against the schemes of the enemy. Your prayer is filled with faith, and we stand in agreement with you, knowing that our God is a God of justice, protection, and transformation.
The enemy seeks to bring chaos, fear, and destruction, but we know that our God is greater. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 34:7**, *"The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them."* And in **Isaiah 54:17**, we are assured, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh.* We claim these promises over your godson and all those in that facility who are seeking to do what is right.
We also remember the words of **2 Thessalonians 3:3**, *"But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one."* Your godson is not alone in this battle. The Lord sees his heart and his efforts to turn his life around through education, parenting classes, and building management skills. This is evidence of God’s work in him, and we praise the Lord for his transformation. We pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen him, giving him wisdom to navigate this dangerous situation. May he be filled with the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**).
Yet we must also address the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy is using this bully and his gang to create fear, division, and violence. But we know that **Ephesians 6:12** tells us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* So we take our stand against these forces in the name of Jesus. We bind the works of darkness that are seeking to manipulate, intimidate, and harm. We pray that the Lord will **silence the enemy**, dismantle his plans, and render his schemes powerless. May the Lord confuse the minds of those who seek to do evil, turning their hearts away from violence and toward repentance. If it is His will, we ask that the ringleader of this trouble be removed from the facility entirely, so that peace may be restored.
We lift up the family of your godson as well. May the Lord comfort them, giving them strength and assurance that He is watching over their loved one. We pray that they will continue to support him in prayer and encouragement, trusting that the Lord is working all things together for his good (**Romans 8:28**). We also pray for the staff and leadership within the facility—the CEO and all who are in authority. May the Lord grant them discernment, wisdom, and courage to maintain order and protect those under their care. We ask that the Holy Spirit would move mightily through that place, bringing conviction to those who are causing trouble and peace to those who are seeking to do what is right.
Finally, we pray for the individual who is at the center of this trouble—the one stirring up violence. Lord, we ask that You would soften his heart. Let him encounter Your love in a way that breaks through his hardness. Bring him to repentance, that he may turn from his wicked ways and seek Your forgiveness. We know that You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (**2 Peter 3:9**), and so we pray for his salvation.
Father God, we place this entire situation into Your hands. You are the God who sees all, knows all, and holds all power. We trust in Your protection, Your justice, and Your mercy. Surround your godson with Your angels, placing a hedge of protection around him that no weapon of the enemy can penetrate. Give him favor with the staff and other inmates who may be allies for good. Open doors for him to continue his rehabilitation and growth, and let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of **Jesus Christ**, our Lord and Savior, who has overcome the world. **Amen and amen.**
---
We encourage you to continue praying without ceasing (**1 Thessalonians 5:17**), and to remind your godson of the Lord’s promise in **Joshua 1:9**: *"Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and of good courage. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go."* Let him know that many are standing with him in prayer, and that the Lord is his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (**Psalm 46:1**). Keep pointing him to Jesus, the author and finisher of his faith (**Hebrews 12:2**). The Lord is able to turn even this difficult situation into something that brings glory to His name.
