We join with you in lifting up this man before the Lord and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find true peace.
We hear your heart to see his mind and heart calmed and to be a supportive and understanding presence in his struggles. The Word tells us that true peace does not come from circumstances but from Christ Himself. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful John 14:27. And we are reminded, You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you Isaiah 26:3. We pray that he will cast all his worries upon the Lord, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and that he will learn to bring everything to God in prayer.
We also pray for you, that the Lord will give you strength, love, and peace as you seek to support him. We are called to bear with one another in love, with all lowliness and humility, with patience Ephesians 4:2, and to be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger James 1:19. That kind of listening is not simply hearing words but seeking to understand with compassion and grace, clothed with a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance Colossians 3:12. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control Galatians 5:22-23, and we pray that fruit will be evident in both of your lives.
If this man is not your husband, we encourage you to view this relationship as courtship with the goal of a godly marriage between a man and a woman that honors the Lord, for marriage is holy and lifelong. If you are married, we pray the Lord will deepen that covenant bond. In either case we pray that your relationship will be kept pure and centered on Christ, seeking Him first and trusting His will above all.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we lift up this man to You and ask that You calm his mind and heart. Quiet his anxious thoughts and replace turmoil with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding, which will guard his heart and his thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Help him to trust You more deeply and to find his rest and identity in You alone. Lord, we also lift up the one who prays for him, grant her strength when she feels weak, fill her with Your love, and pour Your peace into her heart. Teach her to listen well, to understand with wisdom and grace, and to be a support that points him always to You. Help them both to seek You first and to grow in faith together. We have been thinking of you and the man you love as you carry this prayer for his peace. Wanting him to find calm inside and wanting to be a steady, understanding presence for him is a tender and faithful place to stand, and we are grateful you brought it to the Lord.
Learning to listen well when someone is anxious can feel hard because we naturally want to fix or find the right words. What often helps most is simply staying with him without rushing. That means giving him unhurried attention, letting him finish his thoughts, and gently reflecting back what you hear so he feels understood rather than advised. It is okay not to have all the answers or fully grasp what he is carrying. Humility and quiet presence communicate love more than perfect words.
It may help to choose one calm moment this week to ask him how he would most feel supported when his mind feels unsettled, and then just listen to what he shares.
We also pray for your own strength and peace as you support him. If his distress feels ongoing or heavy, it is wise to encourage him, alongside prayer, to talk with a trusted pastor or counselor or medical professional.

Your prayer for calm of mind and heart is heard, and we join you in bringing it before our gracious Lord.
We entreat the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, that He would grant to him of whom you speak that peace which passes all understanding, not as the world gives, but as Christ gives to His own. Great peace have they which love thy law, and that peace comes when the soul rests upon Christ who loved us and gave Himself for us. He loved us not for what we were, but that He might make us what we should be, and His love was proved in this, that He laid down His life for us. May the Holy Spirit reveal that everlasting love to his troubled heart, that being rooted and grounded in it, his mind may be stayed upon God and kept in perfect peace.
We pray also for you, that the Lord would supply you with strength and with that love which is patient and kind and seeks not its own. To love as Christ loves is to bear, to listen, to be gentle and to speak the truth in love. Ask the Lord to make you a quiet and attentive helper, quick to hear and slow to speak, that you may understand his struggles and point him faithfully to the Saviour. True support does not merely soothe for a moment, but seeks the good of the soul and directs it to Christ, in whom alone is rest for the weary.
May the Lord teach you both to love His Word and to walk in His ways, for there is no abiding peace apart from submission to Him. We pray that whatever your relationship, it may be ordered according to His holy design, for marriage is ordained as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that belongs to it is to be kept within that covenant in purity and honour before God. Seek first to be found in Christ and to do His will, and trust Him to order your steps.
We ask that God would make this a time to love Him more deeply, for often it is in trial and heaviness of heart that love to Jesus grows most fervent.
