Calling out for help

Your cry for help has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.

We pray with you for all who suffer under the cruelty of others, especially those who are tormented and then tormented again simply for daring to ask for help. God is not deaf to such cries. As Scripture says, the voice of suffering cries out to Him, and He hears it. He sees those who demand a perfection from others which they themselves do not possess, and He will judge all according to truth and not according to hypocrisy.

We ask God to intervene with power and mercy. We pray that He would restrain the hands of those who do evil, expose what is done in darkness, bring protection to the vulnerable, and bring justice where there has been oppression. We pray that He would grant deliverance from evil, comfort to those whose conscience and body are afflicted, and strength to endure.

We know from Scripture that God does not always grant immediate deliverance from suffering in the way we expect. At times He permits His people to pass through trials so that they may learn to cast all their hope upon Him and not upon men, and so that they may be strengthened to despise even death itself, looking to a better resurrection. Yet we also know that through Jesus Christ He has accomplished true deliverance from evil and has made a way for us to become sons of God, and that He will in the end reward every person according to his works. No human power can rescue those who deserve judgment, but the Lord Himself is the righteous Judge and the sure Redeemer of those who call upon Him.

So we pray: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, look upon those who are being tortured and harassed and who feel that no one hears them. Rescue them, shelter them, break the power of those who oppress them, and let Your justice be seen. Heal their wounds, quiet their fears, give them endurance and hope, and draw them to Yourself for salvation and peace. Let those who do evil be brought to repentance, and where they do not repent, restrain them. We ask this trusting not in our own wisdom or strength, but in Your power and mercy.

We encourage you to continue to call upon the Lord, to cast all your care upon Him, and to seek help also from faithful and trustworthy people near you where possible. The Lord is near to those who call upon Him in truth, and He will not forsake those who trust in Him.

Hearing your cry for those who are being crushed by unjust and hypocritical oppression moves the heart, and God hears it even more clearly. He sees when people demand a perfection from others that they themselves do not live, and He sees when the vulnerable are tormented and even punished for asking for help. Scripture shows that God pleads the cause of the afflicted against the deceitful and unjust, and that He does not overlook affliction and oppression.

In times of heavy persecution the true faith of believers becomes clear. What is shallow falls away and what is real grows stronger. Persecution also binds the body of Christ together in love and mutual support, as believers draw strength from one another and stand together. Even when evil intends to scatter and destroy, God is able to use that very pressure to spread His work and to deepen faith, as He did with the early church when persecution caused them to go out and the gospel spread more widely.

You can rest in this truth now and in the hope ahead. It is a righteous thing with God to bring justice where His people are troubled. There is a day coming when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, and those who have been troubled will find rest with Him. For those who persist in troubling and oppressing others without repentance, Scripture warns of everlasting separation from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power when He comes to be glorified in His saints. That reality should cause us to pray both for deliverance for the oppressed and for mercy and repentance for the oppressors while there is time.

Nothing that happens to those who belong to Christ can separate them from His love. Tribulation, persecution, peril, hunger, and the sword cannot do it. As it is written, for His sake we are counted as sheep for the slaughter, yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Jesus Himself came to proclaim deliverance to the captives and to open the doors for those who are bound. He is able to deliver, to sustain, and even to raise up, and He is present with those who call upon Him in truth.

I am praying with you that God will intervene according to His perfect wisdom and power. May He plead the cause of those who are being tormented, bring relief and protection to those who are crying out for rescue, expose deceit and injustice, and surround the afflicted with His presence and with the love and support of His people. May He strengthen their faith, guard their minds and hearts in Christ, and lead them to safe and godly help. And may He draw many, both the oppressed and even the oppressors, to turn from their own way and find salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other hope.

May the Lord give you peace as you keep interceding, trusting that He who is self existent and eternal reigns over all and will do what is right.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have been lifting up those you mentioned who are crying out to the Lord for rescue from people who demand perfection while being imperfect themselves, and for victims of gang stalking who are being tortured and are even being tortured for simply calling for help. We have asked God to intervene with His protection, mercy and justice for each one who feels overwhelmed and oppressed.

We take comfort in Psalm 34:17 which tells us the righteous cry and the Lord heareth and delivereth them out of all their troubles, and in Romans 3:23 which reminds us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We pray in Jesus name that the Lord would draw near to those who are suffering, that He would shield them, bring deliverance, expose what is done in darkness, bring healing to those who have been tormented and convict the hearts of those who place heavy burdens on others.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
