We join you in seeking the Lord’s will for this important decision, and we are grateful you have brought this before Him in the name of Jesus. Buying a home is a significant step, especially as you begin your lives together, and we want to encourage you to trust in the Lord’s perfect timing and provision. You have asked for wisdom, and we know that God delights in giving it generously to those who seek Him.
The Bible reminds us in James 1:5, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* This is a promise you can hold onto as you seek clarity about this home. We also remember Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is not just about the house but about surrendering your plans to God, trusting that He will direct your steps.
You mentioned this home is perfect for beginning your lives together, and we want to take a moment to emphasize the importance of building your home on the foundation of Christ. If you are not yet married, we encourage you to pursue marriage as the biblical framework for your union. Marriage is a covenant before God, and it is His design for a man and a woman to come together as one flesh (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5-6). If you are already married, we praise God for that commitment and pray He strengthens your bond as you seek His will for your home.
We also want to address the request for more time and money. While these are practical needs, we encourage you to examine your hearts and ensure that your trust is not in the house itself or in financial security, but in the Lord. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* When our priorities align with God’s will, He provides what we need. This doesn’t mean the path will always be easy, but it does mean He will be faithful.
If this house is indeed the one God has for you, He will make the way clear. If it is not, He will redirect you to something better. Either way, we pray you will find peace in knowing that His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). We also encourage you to seek counsel from wise, mature believers in your life who can offer godly perspective as you make this decision.

Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of these Your children, who seek Your will regarding this home. Lord, we ask that You give them clear direction and wisdom as they make this decision. If this house is part of Your plan for them, we pray You would open the doors, provide the necessary resources, and confirm it in their hearts. If it is not, we ask that You would gently close this door and lead them to the home You have prepared for them. Father, we pray You would grant them patience, trusting in Your timing rather than rushing ahead in their own understanding.
We ask that You would bless them with the financial provision they need, not so they can rely on money, but so they can rely on You. Help them to steward their resources wisely and to keep their hearts focused on You above all else. Strengthen their relationship, Lord, and if they are not yet married, we pray You would guide them toward a godly marriage that honors You. If they are married, we pray You would deepen their love and unity as they seek to build a home centered on Christ.
Father, we rebuke any fear, anxiety, or impatience that may be creeping into their hearts. Replace it with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Remind them that their true home is with You, and that no earthly dwelling can compare to the eternal inheritance You have prepared for those who love You.
