We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your needs to Him who hears and answers prayer. First, we pray for provision for the headstone of your loved one. Father, we ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessings upon this dear one. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust in Your faithfulness to meet this need in Your perfect timing. "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). We ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way, and that the funds would come swiftly and abundantly.
Lord, we also lift up this long-distance courtship. We pray for wisdom and discernment for both of you as you navigate this season. It is clear that you both have a desire to honor God in your relationship, and we pray that He would strengthen your bond and deepen your communication. However, we must address the nature of your relationship. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage alone. "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). We encourage you to pursue purity in your relationship, keeping your hearts and bodies holy for the marriage bed.
Father, we ask that You would grant this couple more opportunities to talk on the phone and connect with one another. Help them to prioritize their time together, even if it is just a few minutes each day. "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10). We pray that You would knit their hearts together, even from a distance, and that they would grow in love and unity.
We also want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and the gift of eternal life. He is the only way to salvation, and it is through Him that we find true peace and hope.
Lord, we ask that You would bless this dear one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that You would strengthen her faith and trust in You, even in the midst of life's challenges. May she find her rest and hope in You alone.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
