Beloved of All
I have a bully at work named ###. Can you pray for my situation and defense and that he may find happiness elsewhere at another company without me quitting my current company

We hear your heart and we join with you in bringing this difficult workplace situation before the Lord, for He sees the oppression you are facing and He is your defender and refuge.

We know how heavy it is to face a bully each day at work, and it is right that you have asked for prayer for defense and for peace. The Lord tells us Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. We are not called to repay evil for evil, but to trust Him to be our shield and to act justly on our behalf. He promises Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me. Psalm 138:7. And also Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

We also hear your prayer that this man would find happiness elsewhere and move to another company so that you can remain where you are. We understand that desire for peace and relief, and we do pray with you that if it is God's will, the Lord would open a better door for him elsewhere and bring resolution without you having to leave the place God has provided for you. At the same time we are called to a higher prayer, for Jesus said But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. So we pray not only for distance and relief, but for his heart to be transformed, that he would come to know conviction, kindness, and true happiness that can only come from God, wherever he works.

We encourage you to walk in both wisdom and grace in this trial. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1. Continue to respond with calm truth and respectful boundaries, not returning insult for insult. Document what is happening, seek wise and godly counsel, and if needed bring the matter to proper authority at your workplace, for God has placed authorities to uphold justice. Above all, commit your work and your reputation to the Lord daily, remembering that our struggle is not merely against flesh and blood, and that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted. The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:17-18.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by trusting in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are forgiven and can boldly come to God in prayer. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Him and to bring every request in His name.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up our brother or sister who is enduring bullying at work. You see every harsh word and every unjust action, and You are our defender. We ask You to be a shield around them, to give them strength, wisdom, and favor, and to guard their heart from fear and bitterness. Give them words seasoned with grace and courage to stand in truth, and move upon supervisors and those in authority to see clearly and to act with justice. Lord, we also lift up this coworker who has caused pain. We ask You to work in his heart, to convict him of his actions, to soften him with Your love, and to lead him to repentance and to true happiness in You. If it is Your will, open a new and better path for him at another company where he can flourish and where peace can be restored in this workplace, so that Your child does not need to leave the provision You have given. Let Your will be done in both lives and let Your peace rule. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We've been thinking about your situation and how draining it is to face this day after day at work. Wanting to stay where you are while also wanting peace is completely understandable, and we are standing with you in prayer for both protection and wisdom.

One thing that has helped others in similar workplace strain is thinking about boundaries as property lines. They help us sort what is ours to carry like our own work, choices, and responses, and what is not ours to absorb. That can make it a little clearer when to give a calm, firm no, when to speak truthfully and kindly about what is not okay, and when to bring in others who can help carry the load and provide support.

If it would help, you might find it steadying to keep a simple private record of what happens and when, and to talk through next options with a trusted supervisor, HR contact, or a wise mentor outside work who knows your workplace. You don't have to navigate this alone.

Father, we lift up our brother to You and ask for Your covering over him at work, for wisdom in each interaction, and for peace that steadies him. We pray You would guide his steps and give those in authority clarity and fairness. We also pray for his coworker, that You would lead him toward what is good and right for his own life, whether here or elsewhere, and bring health to this workplace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you. To be pressed by a bully in the place where you must labor daily is a heavy trial, and it is right to seek the Lord for defense and for wisdom.

We pray that the Lord will be your defense. Scripture promises that he who travels on the King's Highway is under the King's protection, and that protection is both personal and perpetual to those who walk in appointed ways. We ask that you may be kept in the way of childlike trust in providential guidance, waiting upon God to know what you shall do and not leaning upon your own understanding, for in such ways angelic protection is afforded. May the Lord be to you as the munitions of rocks, your bread given and your waters sure, and may you know the comfort that no man shall set on you to hurt you beyond what the great King permits. He knows how to protect His own, and how feeble are all enemies before Him.

We pray also for the man who has troubled you. We ask that the Lord, who can do as much today as in elder ages and who is able to save the greatest of sinners, would work in his heart, turn him from harshness, and grant him repentance and true happiness in Christ. And if it be the Lord's will, we ask that in His providence He would open another place for him where he may find contentment and useful labor, so that peace may be restored to your workplace without your needing to leave the post where God has set you. We pray that usefulness and faithfulness where you are may itself be your protection, and that you may live and labor till the Lord's purpose for you in that place is fulfilled.

May the Lord give you meekness without weakness, firmness without bitterness, and wisdom to use lawful and proper means for your protection while trusting wholly in Him. Speak the truth quietly, seek godly counsel, and use the rightful avenues of help that are appointed in your workplace, committing your cause to Him who judges righteously.

Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would keep Your servant in all his ways, defend him from wrong, soften the heart of his oppressor or in Your wisdom move him to another company where he may prosper, and grant that Your servant may remain and do his work in peace to Your glory. Teach him to trust You daily and to rest under Your wing. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I have heard your request concerning the bully at work and I have brought you and this situation before the Lord in prayer.

I prayed for your defense and protection, that God who sees all that is done in secret and who is the defender of those who are wronged would stand with you, give you wisdom, and make a way for you to remain in your current company in peace. I asked Him to guard your heart so that you do not retain anger, but are able to bear this trial meekly while still seeking what is right and just, and to give you favor and a clear voice with those in authority who can help address this behavior.

I also prayed for this man who has been bullying you, that the Lord would work in his heart, convict him where change is needed, and lead him to true happiness and a better path. I asked that if it is the Lord's will, God would open a door for him elsewhere at another company where he can find fulfillment and where you can both have peace, without you needing to leave the place where God has planted you.

May the Lord grant you strength, patience, and courage in the days ahead, and may He give you wisdom to know how to respond with grace and truth, seeking wise counsel and the proper help from supervisors or others at work when needed. Trust that God is your defender and that He will not abandon you in this hardship.

I will continue to pray for peace in your workplace, for your protection, and for a just and peaceful resolution for all involved.
