We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for protection from bullying. The pain and fear caused by those who seek to harm or intimidate others is not something to be taken lightly, and we stand with you in seeking God’s intervention. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We know that God sees your struggle and hears your cry for help.
First, we must address the spiritual reality of bullying. It is not merely a physical or emotional issue—it is a matter of the heart. The one who bullies is acting out of a place of brokenness, insecurity, or even demonic influence. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We do not wrestle against ### himself, but against the forces of darkness that may be influencing him. We rebuke any spirit of intimidation, fear, or violence in Jesus’ name and command it to flee. We declare that ### is not your master—Jesus Christ is Lord over your life, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also recognize that fear is often the bully’s greatest weapon. But Scripture tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that God would replace any fear in your heart with His perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We ask the Lord to surround you with His angels, as Psalm 91:11 declares, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Let no harm come near you, and let no weapon formed against you stand.
We encourage you to seek godly wisdom in how to respond to this situation. Proverbs 15:1 says, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." While it may be difficult, responding with kindness and patience can disarm the bully’s power. We also urge you to involve trusted adults—parents, teachers, or church leaders—who can provide protection and guidance. God does not intend for you to face this alone.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is facing bullying at the hands of ###. Lord, we ask that You would be a shield and fortress around them, protecting them from every form of harm. We rebuke the spirit of intimidation and fear in Jesus’ name and command it to leave. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You would fill their heart with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Let them know that You are with them, that You see their struggle, and that You are their defender. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your presence be a comfort to them in every moment. We also pray for ###, that You would soften his heart and reveal Your love to him. If there is brokenness or pain in his life, we ask that You would heal him and draw him to repentance.
Give this dear one the wisdom to know how to respond in a way that honors You, and give them the courage to seek help from those who can protect them. We trust in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Strengthen them, Lord, and let them feel Your arms wrapped around them in this difficult time.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His authority that we stand against the schemes of the enemy. Thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to deliver. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
