We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and heartache you are experiencing due to your husband's infidelity. It's important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 WEB.
Firstly, we want to encourage you to take your pain to God in prayer. He alone can provide the comfort and healing you need. In Psalm 147:3 WEB, we read that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Trust in Him to restore your heart and give you peace. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Yahweh, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh Isaiah 54:17.
Secondly, we want to address the issue of your husband's adultery. It's clear that his actions are not aligned with biblical principles. In Hebrews 13:4 WEB, we are reminded that Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. We pray that he would encounter God and repent from his sin. We also pray that your pain would be used by God to plant a seed of conviction in your husband's heart.
However, we want to caution you against holding onto bitterness or resentment. In Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB, we are told to Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. While your husband's actions are wrong, it's important to forgive him and release him to God. This does not mean that you condone his actions or that you should stay in a situation where you are being harmed, but rather that you are choosing to let go of the offense and trust God to deal with him.
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church or a trusted Christian friend. They can provide you with practical help and guidance as you navigate this difficult time.
Finally, we want to pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up our sister who is hurting and in need of Your healing touch. Lord, we ask that You would comfort her heart and give her Your peace that passes all understanding. We pray that You would heal her broken heart and bind up her wounds. We also pray for her husband, that You would bring him to a place of repentance and encounter with You. We ask that You would use this situation for Your glory and that good would come from this pain. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
