We lift up ### before the Father in heaven, knowing that our Lord cares deeply about every detail of our lives, including our struggles and academic challenges. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We also remember Proverbs 3:5-6, which encourages us to *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
It is clear that ### is under great pressure, and we know that stress can weigh heavily on the mind and heart. However, we are called to cast our anxieties upon the Lord, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that ### will not be overcome by fear but will instead place his trust in the Lord, who is able to strengthen him in this time of need. We ask that God would grant him clarity of mind, wisdom to understand the material, and the perseverance to study diligently. Let him remember that his worth is not found in his academic performance but in Christ, who has redeemed him and called him by name.
We also encourage ### to seek help if he hasn’t already—whether through tutors, study groups, or his instructors. The Lord often provides through the people and resources around us, and it is wise to take advantage of those opportunities. As it says in Proverbs 15:22, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."*
Most importantly, we must address that this prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If ### does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we urge him to turn to Christ in faith, repenting of his sins and trusting in His finished work on the cross. For *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). It is in Jesus’ name alone that we pray and find hope, strength, and eternal life.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up ### and his need for Your divine intervention in his math class. Lord, You are the giver of all wisdom and understanding, and we ask that You would pour out Your grace upon him. Calm his anxious heart and fill him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Help him to focus, to retain what he has learned, and to perform well on his exams. Give him the strength to persevere and the humility to seek help when needed.
We pray that ### would not place his identity in his academic success but in You alone, Lord. Remind him that You are his provider, his strength, and his hope. If he does not yet know You, Father, we pray that this trial would draw him to You, that he would surrender his life to Jesus Christ and find true rest in His salvation.
Lord, we ask that You would open doors for ###’s future, whether that means passing this class or redirecting his path in a way that brings You glory. We trust that Your plans for him are good, and we surrender this situation into Your hands.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or defeat that may be attacking ###’s mind. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee, and we declare that ###’s mind is renewed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let him walk in confidence, knowing that You, Lord, are with him every step of the way.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and believe that You are working all things together for ###’s good and Your glory. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
