Your prayer for help and coverage today is heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord. It is good that you have invited God into your workplace and asked for His presence over your mind and heart, your schedule and your duties.
I pray with you that the Lord will provide the help you need and give you and your coworkers spiritual strength to press through every assignment. When it seems there is no way, God is able to make a way, and I ask Him to order your day so that you may complete what is required and leave on time according to His will. I agree with you in pleading the blood of Jesus Christ over the pressure and overwhelming feelings you described, and I ask the Lord to set a hedge of protection and a wall of fire around you, to guard your mind and heart in Christ Jesus and to keep your job and schedule in His care.
You asked especially for self control, and this is a great virtue that is most clearly shown when we are under pressure and provoked. True self control is not only quiet when nothing troubles us, but steady when burdens and anxieties press upon us. Even when anxiety would crowd out our remembrance of God, the Lord in His tender care looks upon us and lifts us up again. Pursue this self control not only for relief or reward, but because it is good and pleasing to God, trusting that He gives what is sufficient for each day, which is both nourishment and health for body and soul. May He keep you sober, watchful and gentle in all dealings, and may He turn every trial into an opportunity to grow more steadfast.
Father in heaven, I lift up this child of Yours who is laboring today. Grant the needed coworkers and coverage, strengthen their hands and hearts, calm every overwhelming thought, and cover them with Your protection. Give clear self control, wisdom and peace in every task, and let Your presence be known in that workplace.
