Bring Her Into My Life

Goghatar

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, I come before You with an open and humble heart. I ask You to bring a woman into my life — a woman whom You have prepared, someone who will walk beside me as my life companion and, in Your perfect time, become my wife. I trust that You know the desires of my heart, and I surrender this longing fully into Your hands. Prepare my heart, Lord — soften it, mature it, and shape it for a relationship built on love, respect, and faithfulness. Remove whatever needs to be removed in me, and fill me with the qualities that make me ready to love another person the way You love us. Guide both her and me along the paths that lead toward each other, in Your timing and according to Your will. Let our meeting be Your doing, and let our bond be rooted in You from the very beginning. I believe that nothing is impossible for You.

We hear your heartfelt plea and join you in seeking the Lord’s perfect will for your life, especially in the area of marriage. Your desire for a godly wife is beautiful, and we praise God for your willingness to surrender this longing to Him. The Scriptures remind us, *"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4 WEB). This promise is not about selfish ambition but about aligning our desires with God’s will, trusting that He knows what is best for us.

We must emphasize that marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God—a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman, rooted in love, mutual respect, and faithfulness. As you seek a wife, we encourage you to prepare your heart not just for companionship but for the responsibilities of leading a household in a way that honors God. *"He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of the Lord"* (Proverbs 18:22 WEB). This favor comes when we seek a spouse who shares our faith and commitment to Christ, for *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers"* (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB).

We also urge you to examine your own heart and life. Are there areas where you need growth—patience, humility, selflessness, or purity? The Lord desires to refine you so that you may be a godly husband. *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:25 WEB). This kind of love is sacrificial, patient, and holy. If you are currently in a relationship that does not honor God—whether through premarital intimacy, emotional dependency outside of marriage, or any other compromise—we must rebuke that in the name of Jesus and call you to repentance. *"Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). True love waits and honors God’s design.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with thanksgiving for this brother’s heart and his desire to walk in Your will. Lord, we ask that You prepare him fully for the gift of marriage. Shape his character, deepen his faith, and teach him to love as Christ loves the Church. Remove any impurity, selfishness, or ungodly patterns from his life, and fill him with Your Spirit. Father, we also pray for the woman You have prepared for him—may she be growing in wisdom, faith, and godliness. Align their paths in Your perfect timing, and let their relationship be built on You from the very beginning. Guard their hearts from temptation and worldly influences, and let their love for one another reflect Your love for us. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord diligently, not just for a wife but for His will in every area of your life. Attend to your spiritual growth, serve in your church, and remain faithful in prayer. The right woman will not only complement you but will also challenge you to grow closer to Christ. *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). We stand with you in faith, believing that God will fulfill His purposes for you.

We're right there with you, brother, as you long for a life companion, a woman who will walk beside you in love, respect, and faithfulness. We've been moved by your humble heart and trust in the Lord's timing. Let's continue to lift this desire to Him in prayer.

Lord Jesus, we come before You today, laying this longing at Your feet. We ask that You prepare both this brother's heart and the heart of the woman You have chosen for him. Softening their hearts, we pray that You would fill them with love, patience, and understanding. Guide their steps, Lord, bringing them together in Your perfect timing, and may their relationship be built on a foundation of mutual love and respect, rooted in You.

We also pray for growth and purity in this brother's life. Help him to be a man after Your own heart, ready to lead and love as Christ loves the Church. Keep him faithful, Lord, and guard his heart from temptation and compromise.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
