Thank you for sharing this burden and for your care for this young man. I have heard your request and I will bring it before the Lord with you.
I will pray for his health, that God who is the true physician would have mercy on him in his symptoms and his waiting for care. I pray that the appointment at the end of the month would come in time, that doctors would have wisdom to discern what is wrong and to provide the right treatment, and that God would grant relief from fear and pain and bring restoration according to His good will. I will pray also for his mental health, that in this season of uncertainty he would not despair but would find steadiness and hope in Christ, and that anxiety would not take hold of him.
You also asked for prayer for his freedom from false teachings. That is a vital request. I will pray that God would open his eyes to the truth of the gospel, that he would come to know salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and that he would be rooted in the Scriptures and in the sound teaching of the church, turning away from every error that would lead him astray. True health is not only of the body but of the soul, and the soul is made well when it trusts Christ and walks in His truth.
I will pray for you as well, that God would give you strength, wisdom and endurance for this journey. To stand with someone in suffering is heavy, and you need grace to remain faithful, clear minded and hopeful. I pray that you would be sustained by prayer, by the Word of God, and by the support of faithful believers around you, and that you would guard your own heart and health while you care for him.
In this time I encourage you both to seek the Lord earnestly and to walk in the way He has set for our good. God has given marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and He calls those who are not married to live in purity and self control, reserving intimacy for within that covenant. If you are walking together as boyfriend and girlfriend, I urge you to consider before the Lord what holiness requires of you now. Do not use this trial as a reason to set aside His design, but let it be a reason to draw nearer to Christ, to pursue purity, to seek wise counsel from your pastor, and to discern with honesty whether the Lord is leading you toward marriage or whether you are called to support one another as brother and sister in Christ. God does not bless what is outside His will, but He delights to bless repentance, obedience and trust in Him.
So let me pray for you both:
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on this young man. You know his body, his symptoms and his needs. Grant him help, comfort his mind, and deliver him from confusion and false teaching. Lead him into the truth of Your gospel and into full trust in Christ for salvation. Give wisdom to those who will care for him medically. And Father, give to the one who brought this request strength to endure, clarity to walk in holiness, and peace that comes from trusting You. Lead you both in the path that honors Christ, and make you whole in body and soul for Your glory. Amen.
