Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for my boyfriend as he may have ### and is experiencing ### already. His ### is not scheduled until weeks away. Pray for healing, for healing from ALL health problems, for mental and physical comfort, for good, wise and compassionate doctors and nurses and for a possible earlier ### date. Pray that God would lead him to resources that can alleviate what he's experiencing now. Pray for him to have wisdom in all this as he navigates this journey. Pray for both of us to.

We lift up your boyfriend before the throne of grace, asking for the Lord’s healing touch to be upon him. The Bible tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We stand in faith, believing that God is able to restore his health, ease his suffering, and provide comfort in this difficult time.

Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in his medical care. Guide the hands of his doctors and nurses, granting them wisdom, compassion, and skill as they treat him. If it is Your will, we pray for an earlier appointment or intervention that could bring relief sooner. Provide him with resources, whether medical, emotional, or spiritual, that will help alleviate his struggles now. Give him clarity of mind and peace in his heart as he navigates this journey, trusting in Your sovereignty.

We also lift you up, dear sister in Christ. This season is undoubtedly heavy for you as well. May the Lord strengthen you, grant you patience, and fill you with His peace as you support your boyfriend. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Now, we must address an important matter with love and truth. The relationship you describe as "boyfriend" falls short of God’s design for holy matrimony. Scripture is clear that intimacy outside of marriage is not God’s will. In 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, we read, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." If this relationship is not moving toward marriage, we urge you to prayerfully consider whether it aligns with God’s best for you both.

Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If your relationship is not rooted in this biblical foundation, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s guidance on how to honor Him in this area. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."

Lastly, we must emphasize that our prayers are offered in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6). If you or your boyfriend have not yet surrendered your lives to Jesus, we urge you to do so. Romans 10:9-10 declares, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Salvation is the first and most critical step in walking with God and receiving His blessings.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, asking for Your healing hand to rest upon this young man. Comfort him in his suffering, strengthen him in his weakness, and surround him with Your peace. Provide him with godly wisdom and resources to navigate this trial. For his companion, grant her discernment, patience, and a deep trust in Your plan. If this relationship is not in alignment with Your Word, reveal Your will to them both and give them the courage to walk in obedience. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We are sorry for the weight you are both carrying as you wait for answers. The space between symptoms and a scheduled appointment can feel long and unsettling, and it makes sense that you are asking God for relief now, not just later. We are praying with you for his healing, his comfort, and for every detail still ahead.

One practical step that may help is for your boyfriend to call the doctor’s office now, describe what he is currently experiencing, and ask to be placed on a cancellation list for an earlier appointment. If his symptoms become severe or suddenly worsen, please encourage him to seek urgent care rather than waiting it out. A nurse line or the doctor’s office can sometimes offer guidance for managing what he is facing in the meantime.

Please know you do not have to carry this alone. Let trusted people around you both offer practical help and steady support. We are asking the Lord to give you both wisdom and stamina through the waiting.

Father, we lift him to you now. You know exactly what is happening in his body and in his mind. Please bring relief from the symptoms he is experiencing, calm his fears, and make a way for the right care at the right time. Surround him with attentive, wise, and compassionate doctors and nurses. Give him clarity for each next step, and give her the endurance and peace she needs to support him well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The Lord knows the heaviness of these days of waiting, and He is not far from those who call upon Him in truth. I will bring this request before His throne continually: that your boyfriend may be healed, that all his health troubles may be subdued, that mind and body may be granted rest, that wise and tender physicians and nurses may be found, that an earlier appointment may open if it is the Lord's will, and that he may be led to the resources that can ease his present suffering. I will pray for wisdom for him in every step of this journey, and for the Holy Spirit to comfort each of you and to keep you in holiness.

Let this trial drive you both to the Word of God. In affliction the believer's peculiar comfort is the Word. It is not the bare letter that strengthens, but the Spirit quickening the soul through it. The Lord often quickens us in the trial instead of immediately removing it, and that quickening becomes our true comfort. Seek first that his soul may prosper and be in health. Jesus Christ is the tree of life, the one great Physician. There is one fountain opened on Calvary for both sin and sorrow. The leaves of that tree are for healing, and there is no healing herb besides Him.

Remember also that the day shall come when this present misery shall be remembered as waters that pass away. Time is a wonderful healer, but grace is better. Do not let fear rule the heart. God is faithful; He will not suffer you to be tempted beyond what you are able. With the trial He will also make a way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. Pray, if it is possible, let this cup pass, but if it must not, then ask for the other comfort, that you may be able to bear it.

Let this affliction be a means of grace to you both. Set your house in order before the Lord. If any way of life is not according to His word, let it be brought into obedience now. I will cry to the Lord for his healing and for the comfort of the Holy Spirit upon you both, for Christ's sake.

I have set your request before the Lord, and I will pray for this man as you ask. I ask God to heal his body from every disease, to quiet his mind, and to give him physical and mental comfort. I ask for wise and compassionate doctors and nurses, for an earlier appointment if it is His will, and for resources to relieve what he suffers now. Do not let the weeks of waiting make you dull or despairing. The Scripture says, “Yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry.” Waiting placed in God’s hands is no small reward. Remember the providence of the Father: not even a sparrow falls to the ground without Him. He knows this illness and this fear, and He permits nothing except in His care for those who love Him.

But I must speak plainly about the word “boyfriend.” I can pray for this man’s healing, and I will. I can pray for both of you to have wisdom, purity, and every good gift from above. I cannot ask God to bless a boyfriend-girlfriend union as if it were marriage. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexual union and shared household belong within it. If your relationship is pure, then give thanks and continue in purity. If it is not, then the greatest mercy you can seek is repentance and a right ordering of your lives before God. That is not a lesser prayer; it is the only path to a pure conscience, and a pure conscience is enough for comfort and even for glorying in the midst of every trial.

I will pray for him, and for both of you, that Christ the Physician of souls and bodies may grant healing where it is good, wisdom where there is confusion, and grace to walk in obedience. May the God of all comfort draw near to you in this sorrow. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden and allowing others to come alongside you in prayer. It is hard to wait when someone you care about is suffering and an appointment is still weeks away, and the uncertainty can weigh heavily on both heart and mind.

In seasons like this Scripture points us to the God of all comfort. He is the One who stands by His people in dark hours and difficult places, to strengthen and encourage and to make His presence known. The apostle Paul knew what it was to be tossed and distressed and to feel alone, yet he learned that the Lord would stand near and speak comfort. That same comfort is for you now. He lifts us when we are low and He is able to give peace that steadies the heart while you wait.

Part of that comfort comes through learning to wait upon the Lord and upon His timing. The Bible often exhorts us to patience, using the picture of a farmer waiting for the precious fruit of the earth, and of prophets and others who waited years for God to fulfill His promises. God is patient as He works out His purposes, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, and the Scriptures themselves are given to produce patience and comfort in us so that we may have hope. To know that others are striving together with you in prayer is itself a great encouragement, and we join you in that.

You asked for healing, and we will pray for that. In the ministry of Jesus and in the book of Acts we see many who were healed as people were brought for prayer, and we are taught to call for the elders to pray for the sick. At the same time we do not take one beautiful personal wish, such as that a friend might prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospers, and turn it into a guarantee that God must heal in the way we ask. The Holy Spirit is sovereign in the distribution of gifts, including gifts of healing, and there is a still more excellent way, the way of love and trust in Christ whatever the outcome. So we pray for healing with confidence that God hears, while resting in His wisdom and love to answer according to what is best.

We are praying for this young man you mentioned, that the Lord would bring relief from what he is experiencing now, that He would grant physical and mental comfort, and that He would lead to helpful resources even before the appointment. We pray for good, wise and compassionate doctors and nurses to care for him, and that if it is the Lord's will an earlier appointment would become available. We pray for wisdom for him as he navigates each decision in this journey.

We also pray for you both as individuals before the Lord. We pray that God would direct your hearts into His love and into patient waiting for Christ, and that you would both seek His wisdom for your lives and for your relationship. God's design is clear in Scripture that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, with sexual intimacy and living together reserved for within that covenant. We encourage you both to honor the Lord in your relationship, to pursue purity, to seek counsel from Scripture and from mature believers, and to ask God to make His will clear for your future.

May the Lord establish your hearts and give you hope as you wait. May you find patience and consolation in His Word, and may the comfort you receive from Him enable you to comfort one another.

Father, we bring this young man before You and ask for Your mercy upon him. Touch his body, ease his distress, calm his mind, and sustain him with Your presence. Guide him to help that can relieve his present suffering, grant favor for care that is timely, and give skill and compassion to every doctor and nurse who sees him. Grant him wisdom and grant wisdom also to the one who cares for him, that both would look to You, trust Your timing, and find hope in Your promises. Draw each of them closer to Jesus Christ, establish them in Your love, and lead them to walk in a way that honors You in all things. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
