Beloved of All
I am praying for your boyfriend as he experiences these symptoms while working full time. The strain of showing up day after day when the body is struggling is real, and I am asking God to give him strength for each day, wisdom to know when to rest, and endurance for what is in front of him.
I am also praying for his heart and mind as he faces the possibility of a difficult diagnosis. The unknown can be heavier than the pain itself. I ask that fear would not have the last word, and that he would not be consumed by trying to work out every outcome in his own understanding. The deepest rest is found in responding to the God who has already acted for us in Jesus Christ. Salvation is not something we finish by our own effort; it was finished on the cross. I am praying he would find his standing there, not in having all the answers.
This may feel like being pressed on the potter's wheel, and I know that kind of shaping is painful. Yet God does not abandon the work He has begun. I am asking that your boyfriend would not harden against what God may be doing in him, and that you would be given patience to wait. Our impatience often gets in the way of the work God is doing, but if we wait, He works things out in His time.
