Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for my boyfriend. He and I work together and our job gives us bonuses for selling certain products. He is a star employee and has sold a huge amount of those products in just his first two months working at the company alone but now his manager is telling him they can't find the proof that he sold those products (the bonus wasn't on his latest check) even though he has proof himself that his employee information is listed in an online spreadsheet showing that he did. This job has a lot of problems even though it has so much potential. Tons of the people who trained with us have quit already. Please pray about this and also for him to not get stressed out as he has medical conditions that require him to stay calm. Thank you.

We hear your concern for your boyfriend and the injustice he is facing at work. First, we must address the nature of your relationship. Scripture is clear that intimacy outside of marriage is not God’s design. "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). We encourage you both to honor God by pursuing marriage if this relationship is meant to continue, rather than remaining in a boyfriend-girlfriend arrangement that can easily lead to temptation and sin.

Now, regarding the situation at work, we stand with you in praying for truth and justice to prevail. The Bible tells us, "The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy" (Proverbs 12:22). It is deeply troubling when dishonesty or incompetence in leadership creates unnecessary stress, especially for someone like your boyfriend who has worked diligently. We rebuke any deception or mismanagement in this situation and declare that God sees his labor and will reward him accordingly. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ" (Colossians 3:23-24).

We also lift up your boyfriend’s health, as stress can exacerbate medical conditions. The Lord is our peace, and we pray He will guard his heart and mind. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7). We ask the Holy Spirit to fill him with supernatural calm and wisdom as he navigates this situation.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We lift up [] and his workplace situation to You, Lord. We ask that You expose any unrighteousness and bring truth to light. Give him favor with his managers and grant him the justice he deserves for his hard work. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will turn this trial into a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Father, we also pray for his health. You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You protect his body and mind from the effects of stress. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and help him to cast all his anxieties on You, knowing that You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen him in body, soul, and spirit, and remind him that his worth is not defined by his job but by who he is in Christ.

Lord, we ask that You draw both [] and [] closer to You during this time. If this relationship is Your will, we pray that You would guide them toward marriage, a covenant that reflects Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25-33). Help them to honor You in their relationship and to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). May they seek You first in all things and trust You to provide for their needs.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you both to seek godly counsel and to remain steadfast in prayer. This situation is an opportunity to trust God’s provision and to lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). If the workplace continues to be toxic or unjust, ask the Lord to open doors to better opportunities where his gifts and integrity will be valued. The Lord is your provider, and He will not forsake you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We hear how frustrating and unsettling this is, your boyfriend has worked hard, the proof is right there, and yet he’s being told the bonus he earned isn’t coming. That would unsettle anyone, and when his health depends on staying calm, the worry goes even deeper. We’re standing with you both.

One thing that stands out is that he already has the evidence he needs, his employee info is in the online spreadsheet. That’s strong ground to stand on. A practical next step might be for him to gather that proof (screenshots, a printed copy, any dates or timestamps) and calmly request a brief, private meeting with his manager or with someone in payroll or HR. He can simply say, “I have documentation that shows these sales. Could we look at it together and figure out where the disconnect is?” Taking that step can often relieve the feeling of powerlessness, and it protects his health by giving him a clear, factual path forward rather than letting the injustice loop in his mind.

At the same time, it’s wise to honor what his body needs right now. If his medical condition gives him little margin for stress, this is a moment to be gentle with himself, maybe stepping away for a walk when frustration builds, or sharing the burden with a trusted friend at work so he’s not carrying it alone. The fact that so many trained workers have already quit tells us this may be less about him and more about a broken system; that doesn’t make it right, but it can take some of the personal sting out of it.

We’re praying that the truth becomes clear and his bonus is released, and that in the meantime he senses God’s steadying presence.

Jesus, we lift up this hardworking man to you. Calm his mind and protect his body from stress that would harm him. Give him wisdom as he presents the proof, and move on those in authority to see it clearly and do what is just. Surround him with your peace that goes deeper than any workplace chaos. In your name we pray, amen.

This trial of withheld wages and disputed records is a sharp goad to the flesh, yet it is no mishap fallen outside the governance of the Most High. When a man has worked diligently and the fruit of his labor is denied him, the temptation swells to charge God foolishly. But the Lord’s own testimony concerning His servant was that he feared God and eschewed evil, and the adversary was permitted to strip away every outward prop. Stoop down, then, and consider whether this is not a time to prove whose servant your friend truly is. The Lord has not abandoned the helm, though the waves beat hard. Let him look beyond the unjust manager to the Judge of all the earth, who will surely do right. He who counted the sparrows and numbered the hairs of your head has not lost the record of a single honest sale. The spreadsheets of men may fail, but the book of God’s remembrance is open before Him. Bid your friend hold fast his integrity, and not let his spirit be soured. He who will not be hurried by the clamor of the hour shall see the vindication of his cause in due season.

Concerning his health, it is a mercy that the body compels us to seek the quietness of soul that belongs to faith. A fretful heart stirs up the humors and sharpens every pain. Let him now practice the holy art of casting his burden upon the Lord, for he who cannot carry his own cares without inward storm will make his own prison. We must not make our bed longer than God has made it; rather, let the foul weather without drive us to the shelter of the Rock that is higher than we. The Lord turned the captivity of Job, not in the heat of his debating, but when he prayed for his friends. So let prayer ascend, both for his own soul and for those who may have dealt harshly. The same God who set bounds to the sea can compose the troubled waters of a man’s mind, and He can open a door of favor where all doors seem barred. He who has saved the soul from a greater condemnation will not fail to supply the daily bread. Wait on Him, watch for His hand, and believe that the tomorrow which lies in His keeping will bring bread enough and to spare.

“In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.” That is the star which never sets, the testimony which shall outlast the loss and the sore. Lay hold on that, and you shall see that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

The stress of this situation is a chain of your own making. You say he has medical conditions requiring calm, yet you both have fixed your eyes on a missing bonus as if your very life depended on it. Why do you judge by appearance? The spreadsheet may show his sales, but the true proof of his worth is not in silver or gold. If his labor is honest, then the work itself is the reward, and no manager can take that away. I tell you, a man is not rich because his bonus is large, nor poor because it is delayed. He is rich who needs nothing, poor who is always grasping. Let him despise the thought of this money as nothing, for it is nothing, and he will at once be calm.

Consider Paul in chains. Did his bonds hinder his preaching? They made him bolder. Your boyfriend’s bonds are this anxiety and this bonus. Break them. Look at the work itself. If he labors as unto the Lord, then he is a star employee indeed, not because of a manager’s recognition, but because he works the work of the Lord. That work cannot be bound by spreadsheets or paychecks. Regard his labor with the same trust you would give to an apostle: if he works faithfully, that is nobility enough.

The monster you must slay is this madness over earthly reward. It afflicts both soul and body. You ask prayer for calm, yet you stir up the very disease by fixating on the missing proof. Let him not be like the rich man who, having much, was punished for having no pity, not even on himself. Instead, let him pity his own health and cast out the desire for what is not owed. The poor man Lazarus gained the kingdom; the rich man got hell, not for his wealth, but for his trust in it. So here, if he puts his trust in that bonus, he chains himself. If he bears its loss calmly, he stands above it, and his calm will be his health.

Do not say, “But the manager wrongs him.” Even if it is so, what communion has the tricking out of a paycheck with the true ornament of a tranquil soul? The grace of patient endurance gleams brighter than any gold. I have seen the sick become healthy by such trials, and the healthy fall into illness by fretting over what they cannot control. Let him who thinks he stands take heed; but let him who stumbles in this matter arise. Awake, sleeper. Do not let a bonus lull you into thinking it can secure your life. It cannot. But a heart fixed on Christ can endure all things without stress.

So pray, indeed. But pray that he may see his real work, not as a seller of products, but as a servant of God, and that no earthly loss can harm the man who does not injure himself by grasping at shadows.

When a situation like this hits, it is so easy to feel that deep sense of injustice. Someone has worked hard, the proof is right there, yet those in authority are not honoring what is plainly owed. That kind of frustration can cut very deeply, and the temptation is to let it consume your peace.

Yet it is often in these very moments, when we are tempted to say we can handle it ourselves or to spiral into anxiety, that God is calling us into a deeper dependence. He is not far off, waiting for an emergency call like a roadside service. He doesn’t need our performance or our frantic efforts to bail Him out of a problem. What He desires is our fellowship, our honest love, and our trust turned toward Him especially when life feels unfair. This work trouble is, in a strange way, an invitation to stop trying to carry the burden alone and to remember that He is in control, working even when we cannot see it.

The concern about the stress affecting his health is a wise and real one. The body keeps a kind of score, and when we face threats, real or perceived, it can flood our system with a drive to fight or flee that, if left unresolved, harms us. This is not a sign of weak faith; it is how we are made. Health and spirituality cannot be simply equated, as if every physical struggle means a lack of devotion. That was the mistake of Job’s friends. God’s faithful ones know physical tribulation, yet their standing with Him remains secure. However, Scripture does give us a better way forward. It shows us that when we fear the Lord and turn away from the agitating power of evil, it brings a kind of medicine to our whole being. We do not need to be afraid when calamity threatens, because the Lord Himself becomes our confidence.

So here is the steady ground to stand on. The call is not to get upset or to live in turmoil, but to patiently wait for the Lord, who reigns and will bring His purposes to pass. Instead of letting the mind fixate on the missing bonus or the flawed manager, let him release that pressure to God in faith. There is a need, not for some new revelation, but for a new experience of the old truth: that God has provided all he truly needs. As he trusts, the poison of fear loses its grip on the body. His security is not in a spreadsheet or a paycheck. His deepest need is for that meaningful relationship with God, and when that is set right, he can face the injustice with a calm spirit, knowing he is a child of God whose ultimate value and provision are fixed in heaven, not in a company’s ledger.
