We hear your distress and physical suffering, and we come before the Lord together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, to lift you up in prayer. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We thank you for calling on the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Father God, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for our brother in Christ who is enduring pain and fear concerning his health. Lord, You are the God who sees and knows all things, and You are acquainted with all our ways (Psalm 139:3). We ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand upon his body, particularly his large intestine. We declare that by the wounds of Jesus, he is healed (1 Peter 2:24). We pray against this bleeding and ask that You would bring restoration and wholeness to every part of his body that is afflicted.
Lord, we know that Your Word says that You desire for us to prosper and be in health, even as our souls prosper (3 John 1:2). We ask that You would guide the hands of the medical professionals treating him and give them wisdom to provide the best care possible. We also ask that You would strengthen his faith as he waits on You for his healing. Help him to trust in You with all his heart and lean not on his own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may be trying to take hold of his heart. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that he would find peace in Your presence, knowing that You are in control and that Your plans for him are for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also encourage our brother to continue seeking the Lord in all things and to present his requests to God with thanksgiving, so that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). We pray that he would find comfort in Your Word and that it would be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path (Psalm 119:105).
Lord, we ask that You would give him patience and endurance as he waits for Your healing touch. Remind him that those who wait on You will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run and not be weary. They will walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). We declare that his strength will be renewed day by day as he trusts in You.
We also pray for wisdom in his dietary choices and that the fiber tablets he is taking would be effective in bringing relief. Give him discernment in all decisions regarding his health and guide him in the path of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3).
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your infinite wisdom. We declare that our brother is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we ask that You would bring complete healing to his body. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
