Stop waiting for signs and trust Christ now to be instantly and fully saved.
We join with you in asking our Father for boldness and confidence and we thank you for sharing this simple and sincere request.

We are reminded that true boldness and confidence do not come from our own personality or strength but from the Holy Spirit working within us. The Scripture tells us For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7 and also The wicked flee when no one pursues but the righteous are as bold as a lion Proverbs 28:1. When our confidence is rooted in Christ we can stand firm even when we feel weak or timid because I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me Philippians 4:13.

The early believers prayed for this very thing and God answered them. They prayed Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness Acts 4:29 and the answer came When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness Acts 4:31. We also have this promise In whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him Ephesians 3:12 and Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need Hebrews 4:16. And we hold to the command Haven’t I commanded you Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9.

We notice your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have bold access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If we place our faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord, we are saved and we can come before God with confidence Romans 10:9. It is in His name that our prayers are heard.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this dear one who desires boldness and confidence and we ask that You fill them anew with Your Holy Spirit. Remove every spirit of fear and timidity and replace it with power, love and self-control. Give them a holy boldness to speak Your truth in love, to stand for righteousness, to pray without wavering, and to walk confidently in the calling You have given them, not in self reliance but in full dependence on Christ who strengthens them. Help them to remember that You are with them wherever they go and that they can draw near to You with confidence at any time. Build their faith through Your Word and through prayer so that their confidence grows day by day. We ask this according to Your will in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for bringing this simple and honest prayer to us. Wanting boldness and confidence is a good desire and we are glad you named it so plainly.

We have found that courage is less about suddenly feeling brave and more about quietly training our will to do what is right even when we feel unsure. It grows as we make small, faithful choices, not by forcing ourselves to feel heroic. Patience with ourselves, watching what we take in, and choosing to act in line with what we believe helps those attitudes catch up with our actions over time.

One simple way to practice this week might be to pick one ordinary moment where you wish you were bolder, maybe speaking kindly and clearly when you would normally stay quiet, and pause to ask the Lord for help right before you step into it. Notice what happens, not to judge yourself, but to learn to trust Him more in the next moment.

Father, we lift our friend to you and ask you to steady their heart with your presence. Give them quiet confidence in you and courage to do what is needed with joy and peace. Grow their trust as they walk with you day by day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for boldness and confidence is a right and scriptural desire, and I rejoice to hear it from you. The Scripture itself invites you to this very thing, for we are exhorted, Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

This boldness does not spring from any confidence in yourself. Self confidence must go when confidence in Christ comes in. Great faith takes Jesus only as her basis, while little faith tries to add thereto some confidence in self, or in prayers, or in works. If you would have true boldness, you must look away from self altogether. Always pray with your windows open towards Calvary. Look upon the precious blood. Gaze steadfastly upon the risen Lord. There you see your right to come, for through faith in Jesus Christ you are made a child of God, and a child may come boldly to his Father's throne.

Remember Daniel, who when he knew the writing was signed, still kneeled upon his knees three times a day and prayed with his windows open. His love to his God rested deep in his inmost heart and had become part and parcel of himself, and being sustained by the two hands of love and faith he was graciously lifted over the rough and thorny places. So shall it be with you. Faith will guard both head and heart. It is your shield. See to your faith above all things, and see that it is all of one piece, resting wholly upon the finished work of Christ, with no confidence in yourself.

You must ask in faith, nothing wavering, for he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. The Holy Spirit has been given to teach us how to pray, and to work in us the principles of faith that sustain in the time of trial. Be of good courage, even if your faith feels but little and weak as yet. Little faith may be sick on board the vessel, but the vessel itself is safe and you will get to shore as surely as great faith will, for Christ holds the rope and pulls you to shore.

May the Lord increase your faith, and with it give you holy boldness to come, to ask, to stand, and to act for Him. May you be enabled to say, God can deliver me, but if He does not deliver me, still I am well content to be found faithful for Jesus sake. And may you walk in Him whom you have received, acting as one who is saved, with joy and confidence and holy courage, to the praise of His grace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
