We hear your heart's cry for boldness and confidence and we join with you in bringing this request before the Father.
We rejoice that you desire boldness, for this is something God delights to give to His children. True biblical boldness is not self confidence or pride in our own ability, but confidence that comes from knowing who we are in Christ and that the Holy Spirit dwells within us. The Scripture says For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7 and again The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion Proverbs 28:1. We are also reminded Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9. Our boldness is rooted in our access to God Himself, for In whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him Ephesians 3:12 and we are invited to draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need Hebrews 4:16.
We noticed your prayer did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have this bold access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by placing our faith in Jesus Christ, believing He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and can come confidently before God. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to call upon His name and trust Him as Lord and Savior.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit and grant to Your servant to speak Your word and live their life with all boldness Acts 4:29. Remove every spirit of fear, timidity, and doubt, and replace it with power, love and a sound mind. Let their confidence rest not in themselves but in Christ who strengthens them, for I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me Philippians 4:13. Help them to walk in courage knowing You are with them wherever they go, and to use this boldness to glorify You, to share the gospel, and to stand firm in righteousness. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily in prayer and in the Word, for boldness grows as we abide in Him. Remember the early disciples prayed for boldness and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness Acts 4:31. Ask the Lord to show you where He wants you to be bold for His sake, whether in sharing your faith, standing for truth, or stepping out in obedience, and trust that He will equip you for every good work He has called you to.
