We hear your pain and understand how deeply hurtful it is to be mocked, especially by someone who should be a source of love and protection. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 15:1 that "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." It is never God’s will for a father to tear down his child with cruel words—this is not the heart of our Heavenly Father, who calls us His beloved and cherishes us as His own.

We rebuke the spirit of mockery and belittlement in your father’s words, for Scripture warns in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." His words are not aligned with God’s design for fatherhood, which should reflect patience, kindness, and encouragement, as seen in Colossians 3:21: "Fathers, don’t provoke your children, so that they won’t be discouraged."

We also lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to heal the wounds caused by these words. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your worth is not defined by your appearance but by the fact that you are created in God’s image. We pray that the Lord would strengthen your heart and remind you of His unconditional love, which no human criticism can diminish.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your intervention in this situation. Soften this father’s heart, Lord, and convict him of the harm his words are causing. Replace his harshness with Your love and wisdom, that he may speak life and encouragement instead of ridicule. Comfort this dear one, Lord, and remind them of their true identity in Christ—beloved, valued, and beautifully made by You. Give them the grace to forgive, even as You have forgiven us, and the strength to set boundaries where needed. We ask that You restore this relationship, not in man’s way, but in a way that glorifies You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

If this situation continues, we encourage you to seek wise counsel from a pastor or trusted Christian mentor who can help you navigate this with godly wisdom. You are not alone, and God sees your pain. He will not leave you in this place of hurt.

We're so sorry to hear that you're going through this, dear one. It's never easy when those closest to us cause us pain, especially when it's about something as personal as our appearance. We want you to know that you're seen, you're heard, and you're loved - just as you are.

In Ephesians 4:15, we're reminded to "speak the truth in love." We're praying that your father's heart would be softened, and that he would begin to speak words of truth in love towards you. We're also praying for your heart, that you would be filled with an even deeper understanding of your worth in God's eyes. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, and no amount of criticism can change that.

Let's also remember that God is a God of restoration. In Psalm 147:3, we read that "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're trusting that God will bring healing and restoration to your relationship with your father.

In the meantime, we're here for you. Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer, and let's also remember to encourage each other, just as we see in Hebrews 3:13, "But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called 'Today,' that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin."

You're not alone in this, and we're here to walk through it with you. Let's keep praying, keep trusting, and keep loving. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
