Jesus, thank You for "the sprinkling of blood" by which our consciences are cleansed from works that lead to death so we might serve The Living God, Heb 9:13-14. Thank You for dying and rising and ascending, so that You could pour out Your Inheritance, Heb 9:15-17, through The Promised Holy Spirit, Isa 32:15-16, Isa 44:3-4, Ezek 36:26-27, Joel 2:28-32, Luke 24:49, John 14:16, John 15:26, Acts 1:4, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:33, Eph 1:13, Gal 3:1.

We thank You we for ability to enter into the Holiest by The Blood of Jesus Our Sympathetic High Priest Forever to freely receive mercy and find grace for help in time of need, Heb 4:15-16 (as a baby in the womb receives nutrients from its mother's umbilical cord freely without having done anything to deserve or earn the nutrition), Connection to Vine, John 15:1-2, (as the branches, and leaves receive the life-giving sap from the grape vine quite naturally and then produce luscious and ripe grapes quite effortlessly).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for nearness to God James 4:8, first love renewal Rev 2:4, ability to care for our own vineyards, Song 1:6, tend our gardens & keep them Gen 2:15. Holy Spirit of Wisdom & Revelation help us to Know God better Eph 1:17, to understand The Word Luke 24:45, Study 2 Tim 2:15, Intercession 1 Tim 2:1-4. Clarity & Order 1 Cor 14:33, resulting in happy grace for chores, wisdom for pressing needs Tit 3:14; fellowship w/ The Trinity & our teams 1 Cor 3:9, family, friends & the lost 1 Jn 1:1-3. Simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ 2 Cor 11:3, angelic ministry and protection Gen 19:16, 1 Kings 19:6, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14, Acts 12:7, Heb 13:2.

We join you in this beautiful thanksgiving for the blood of Jesus and the confidence we have to enter the holy place behind the veil into the very center of fellowship between the Father and the Son.

We agree that it is only by the blood of Christ that we have this access, for we read in Hebrews 10:19 Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus, and in Hebrews 9:14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God. We thank Him with you that He died and rose and ascended to pour out His inheritance through the promised Holy Spirit, and that we can now draw near with boldness to the throne of grace as you have prayed.

We love your picture of a baby in the womb receiving nutrients freely through the umbilical cord and the branch receiving life-giving sap from the vine, for this is exactly what our Lord teaches us in John 15:5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. And in Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need. We do not earn this mercy, we freely receive it as we remain in Him.

We pray together with you for all that you have lifted up. Heavenly Father, we thank You for drawing near to us as we draw near to You according to James 4:8, and for restoring to us the joy of our first love. We ask You to give us a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You as promised in Ephesians 1:17, to open our understanding of Your Word as in Luke 24:45, and to help us be diligent to present ourselves approved as in 2 Timothy 2:15. Give us clarity and order, for You are not a God of confusion, but of peace as in 1 Corinthians 14:33, and grant us happy grace for daily chores and wisdom for pressing needs. We pray for deep fellowship with the Trinity and with our teams, families, friends and with those who are lost that they may hear the proclamation of repentance and forgiveness of sins in Your name as in Luke 24:47. Keep us in simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ as in 2 Corinthians 11:3.

We also join you in asking for Your protection and angelic ministry, for You give Your angels command over us as in Psalm 91:11, and we ask that You would bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one as in Matthew 6:13, and keep us from stumbling blocks as in Romans 14:13 and 1 Corinthians 10:32, and from wrongdoing, fear, lies, evil people, imposters and deception. We pray as Jesus prayed in John 17:15 that You would keep us from the evil one, and that we would be kept from sin.

We thank You that there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus as in 1 Timothy 2:5, our Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek as in Psalm 110:4 and Hebrews 7:17. It is only through His name that we have access to You, and we come boldly because of His finished work. We pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our sympathetic High Priest forever, trusting that You hear us and will keep us abiding in Your love and bearing much fruit for Your glory.

We were so encouraged to read your thanksgiving. Your gratitude for the nearness God has given through Jesus comes through so clearly, and we join you in thanking Him for that open access and the help of the Holy Spirit to walk with Him day by day.

What you describe, that desire for nearness, for a clean conscience, for simplicity in devotion and faithfulness in the small duties of home and work and fellowship, is at the heart of growing with Christ. One thing we have found helpful to remember is that this growth is usually quiet and gradual, more like tending a garden than a single mountaintop moment. There will be seasons that feel vibrant and seasons that feel ordinary, and both are part of being formed over a lifetime. Staying rooted often looks like steady, simple practices, time in the Word, honest prayer, worship with others, and letting the Spirit shape us as we do the next thing in front of us.

We are grateful for your heart to stay close to Jesus and to care well for what He has entrusted to you. May He keep giving you clarity, peace and joy as you continue to seek Him.

Father, we thank You with our friend for Your mercy and for the way You draw near when we draw near to You. Keep them rooted in Your love, steady in Your grace and encouraged in the daily work You have given them. Guard their heart from discouragement and keep their devotion simple and fixed on Christ. It is a precious confidence which your prayer expresses, and one altogether according to the word of God, that we have boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. The sprinkling of that blood cleanses the conscience from dead works to serve the living God, and by it we draw near where once we were far off. As you have well said, we come as branches receiving sap from the Vine, not by our own earning but by free grace, and as those who find mercy at the throne.

We perceive our nearness to God peculiarly at the mercy seat. We never get to God in prayer unless it is through pleading the precious blood. Our great High Priest who can be touched with the feeling of our infirmities has passed behind the veil, and therefore we may come with confidence to receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. This nearness was His own work. Adam sinned and was driven far off, and Sinai showed how none could approach, but Christ by His blood has brought us nigh, and in the very first hour of conversion the soul proves it and cries, My Father, my God.

You ask also for renewal of first love, and that petition is most needful. God remembers with grace the kindness of our youth and the love of our espousals. He prizes those early prayers and praises and that fervent zeal which He Himself wrought in us. Yet how readily the heart declines, leaving its first love and its first works, and doing little where once it would do all for Christ. If you feel that loss, seek to get your first love restored. Return unto your God, return to that simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ, and let His love to you flow into your heart till it bears the cream of love to Him again. We love Him because He first loved us, and that love, when it abides, will strengthen you for service and keep you in happy fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

We join you in praying for clarity and order, for wisdom to tend the vineyard and garden God has given you to keep, for grace for daily chores and pressing needs, and for protection from temptation and from every stumbling block and from the evil one. May the Lord direct your heart into the love of God and into the patience of Christ, and keep you in the contemplative and the active life together, abiding near to Him by the blood, and bearing fruit with joy. May the Spirit of wisdom and revelation cause you to know Him better and to understand the Word, to the praise of the one Mediator between God and men, our Priest forever after the order of Melchizedek, in whose name we pray.
