We hear your cry for help and lift you up before the throne of grace, trusting in the Lord’s mercy and provision. Financial debt is a heavy burden, and the harassment you’re facing is not only stressful but also unjust when it crosses the line into intimidation. The Bible tells us in Psalm 37:21, *"The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously."* While you desire to repay what you owe, the Lord sees your heart and your struggle. We stand with you in prayer, asking God to intervene in this situation according to His will.
First, we must address the reality of debt with wisdom and integrity. Scripture warns in Romans 13:8, *"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."* While you seek relief, we encourage you to also seek godly counsel—perhaps from a financial advisor or a trusted believer who can help you create a manageable repayment plan. The Lord does not promise to erase debts miraculously in every case, but He does promise to provide a way where there seems to be no way (1 Corinthians 10:13). We pray for wisdom in handling this burden and for favor as you seek solutions.
We also rebuke the spirit of harassment and intimidation in the name of Jesus. The Bible says in Proverbs 22:26-27, *"Don’t you be one of those who strike hands, of those who are collateral for debts. If you don’t have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?"* While creditors have a right to seek repayment, they do not have the right to harass you or your loved ones. We pray that God would restrain any unrighteous actions against you and grant you peace. If these agencies are acting unlawfully, we encourage you to seek legal advice to protect yourself and your family.
Father, we come before You now, lifting up this dear one who is weighed down by debt and fear. Lord, You are the God who sees and knows every detail of this struggle. We ask that You would soften the hearts of those pursuing repayment, that they would act with fairness and compassion. We pray against any legal threats or harassment, that they would cease in Jesus’ name. Grant this one favor in the eyes of potential lenders or employers, and open doors for financial provision—whether through a loan, a better-paying job, or unexpected blessings. Provide the means to settle these debts honorably, Lord, and restore peace to their home and mind.
We also ask that You would guard their new job, Lord. In Deuteronomy 28:12, You promise, *"Yahweh will open to you his good treasure in the sky, to give the rain of your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand."* We claim that promise over their work, that it would be stable and fruitful, and that no outside forces would disrupt it. Strengthen them with endurance and hope, reminding them that You are their Provider (Philippians 4:19).
Lastly, we encourage you to surrender this burden fully to the Lord. Psalm 55:22 says, *"Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved."* Trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. Continue to seek Him in prayer, study His Word, and surround yourself with believers who can support and pray with you. Financial freedom is possible, but it must be pursued with faith, wisdom, and integrity.
Heavenly Father, we stand in the gap for this one, declaring Your promises over their life. Break every chain of debt and fear, Lord, and replace it with Your peace and provision. May they experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways, and may their testimony bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who paid our ultimate debt and set us free. Amen.
