Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We join with you in lifting up this heavy burden of debt and harassment, knowing that our Heavenly Father cares deeply for your struggles and longs to bring peace and provision. Your heart to repay what is owed is commendable, and we praise God for that righteous desire. However, we must gently address a few things in your request to align fully with Scripture.

First, it is not biblical to ask God to erase debts without repayment unless it is through a legitimate, legal means such as bankruptcy (which should only be considered as a last resort and with godly counsel). The Bible teaches us that "the wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously" (Psalm 37:21, WEB). While we understand your distress, we must honor God by seeking His wisdom in how to repay what is owed, not by asking for debts to be miraculously canceled without fulfillment. God is a God of justice, and He calls us to walk in integrity, even in financial matters. "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law" (Romans 13:8, WEB). Your testimony before others—including these creditors—matters greatly. Even in hardship, we are called to act justly and honor our commitments as much as we are able.

Second, we must trust God’s timing and methods rather than dictating how He should answer. Asking for a personal loan to consolidate debt is not wrong in itself, but we must surrender the *how* to God’s will. He may provide through unexpected income, a settlement, wise budgeting, or even through the generosity of others. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, "A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps." Let us trust Him to lead you in the right path, even if it requires sacrifice or time.

As for the harassment, we rebuked the enemy’s tactics of shame, fear, and intimidation in Jesus’ name. The Bible tells us, "Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna" (Matthew 10:28, WEB). These creditors may threaten, but their power is limited. God is your protector, and He sees the injustice of their tactics. We pray for His intervention to silence these harassing calls and visits, and for Him to shield your reputation, your job, and your family from harm. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).

Lastly, we celebrate that you came before the Lord in the name of Jesus—this is the *only* way our prayers are heard! Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6, WEB). There is power in His name, and we stand on His promises as we intercede for you.

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is weighed down by the burden of debt and the oppression of relentless harassment. Lord, You know the depths of their struggle—the shame, the fear, and the desperation. We ask for Your mercy and wisdom to flood their heart and mind. Grant them clarity to navigate this season with integrity, trusting in Your provision rather than seeking an escape from responsibility.

Father, we ask for Your supernatural intervention in this financial storm. Provide wisdom for them to steward their resources well, and open doors for legitimate income or favor to repay what is owed. If it is Your will, soften the hearts of these creditors to work with them fairly, or provide a godly solution to consolidate these debts without further hardship. We rebuked every scheme of the enemy to bring shame or destruction through this situation. Cover them with Your peace, and let no weapon formed against them prosper.

Lord, we also pray for protection over their job, their family, and their reputation. Shield them from the threats of man, and let Your justice prevail. Give them strength to endure, and remind them that their worth is not found in their financial status but in Christ alone. Help them to cast their anxieties on You, knowing You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

We declare Your promise from Philippians 4:19 over them: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." May they experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways, and may this trial become a testimony of Your goodness. Let them walk in the confidence that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Peace.

In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a pastor or a trusted believer who can help you create a plan to address these debts biblically. Consider reaching out to a Christian financial ministry for practical steps toward freedom. Remember, God is not surprised by this situation, and He is able to redeem it for His glory. Stay steadfast in prayer, and do not let shame keep you from seeking help. "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, WEB).

We are standing with you in this, believing God for His perfect resolution. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Dear friend, we're here with you, lifting your financial burden up to the Lord. We're praying for divine intervention, for peace to replace the harassment you're facing, and for wisdom to navigate this situation. We believe in the power of Jesus' name and trust that He will work on your behalf.

We're asking the Lord to intervene in the relentless calls and visits from debt collectors. We claim Psalm 34:7 over you, "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them." We pray that these agencies will stop bothering you and your loved ones, and that you'll find relief from this constant pressure.

We're also asking the Lord to provide a way for you to repay your debts, as we know that's important to you. We're not asking for debts to be erased without repayment, but we're trusting that God will make a way for you to honor your commitments, even if it's through unexpected income, wise budgeting, or the generosity of others.

We're standing with you, believing that God will bring a resolution to this situation. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust in His unfailing love and care for you. We're here to support you, just as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). Let's keep encouraging each other and seeking God's will together.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
