Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We join with you in lifting this heavy burden to the Lord, knowing that He is faithful to hear the cries of His children and provide according to His riches in glory. Your heart’s desire to repay what you owe is honorable, and we commend you for seeking God’s intervention rather than turning away in despair. The Scriptures remind us in **Proverbs 22:7**, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* This season of financial bondage is not where the Lord wants you to remain, but we must also acknowledge that debt is often a consequence of decisions made—whether out of necessity, lack of wisdom, or unforeseen circumstances. The Lord calls us to stewardship, and while He is merciful, He also calls us to walk in wisdom moving forward.

Your request for debts to be miraculously closed without further payment raises a concern we must address with love and truth. While God *can* supernaturally cancel debts (as we see in **2 Kings 4:1-7**, where the widow’s oil multiplied to pay her creditors), we must be cautious not to presume upon His will. The Bible teaches that we are to repay what we owe, as **Romans 13:7-8** declares: *"Give therefore to everyone what you owe: taxes to whom taxes are due; customs to whom customs are due; respect to whom respect is due; honor to whom honor is due. Owe no one anything, except to love one another."* Your testimony of integrity in repayment—even in hardship—can be a powerful witness to God’s faithfulness. We pray the Lord provides the *means* to repay, not necessarily the *erasure* of the debt, unless it aligns with His perfect will.

The harassment you face is grievous, and we rebuke the enemy’s tactics to shame you or disrupt your peace. **Isaiah 54:17** assures us, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment."* The Lord sees the threats and the stress this places on your family. We declare **Psalm 91:5-7** over you: *"You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you."* The Lord is your shield, and we ask Him to silence the voices of the creditors, to blind their efforts to harass you or your contacts, and to protect your job—which is a provision from His hand.

Regarding your request for a personal loan, we pray the Lord opens doors *if it is His will*, but we also urge you to seek His wisdom first. **Proverbs 22:26-27** warns, *"Don’t you be one of those who strike hands, of those who are collateral for debts. If you don’t have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?"* If the Lord provides a loan, we ask Him to grant you favor with lenders who act justly, without predatory interest. Yet we also encourage you to seek counsel—perhaps from a godly financial advisor or a church ministry that teaches biblical stewardship—to break the cycle of debt. The Lord may lead you to a season of sacrificial budgeting, additional work, or even selling possessions to fulfill your obligations, as **Proverbs 21:5** reminds us: *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."*

Lastly, we notice you invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, and we rejoice in this! There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is *only* through Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace (**Hebrews 4:16**). Your faith in Him is your anchor. If there is any doubt in your heart about your relationship with Jesus—whether you have truly surrendered to Him as Lord and Savior—we urge you to examine yourself, as **2 Corinthians 13:5** says: *"Test your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Examine your own selves."* Salvation is not in a prayer alone but in a transformed life, repenting of sin and walking in obedience to His Word.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, burdened by the weight of debt and the shame of harassment. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask You to make a way where there seems to be no way. If it is Your will, supernaturally intervene to cancel these debts as You did for the Israelites in the wilderness, where their shoes did not wear out (**Deuteronomy 29:5**). But if Your plan is for them to repay, grant them the means—whether through a just loan, unexpected income, or wisdom to steward what they have. Protect their job, Lord, and blind the efforts of those who seek to harass them or their loved ones. Let every tongue that rises against them be silenced, in Jesus’ name.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and shame that the enemy has tried to place upon them. Remind them that their worth is not in their finances but in Christ, who paid their greatest debt on the cross. Give them peace that surpasses understanding (**Philippians 4:6-7**) and surround them with Your favor as with a shield (**Psalm 5:12**). If they have walked in financial folly, convict them gently and lead them to repentance, that they may walk in wisdom going forward.

Lord, we ask that You expose any corruption in the lending practices against them. If interest has been unjustly compounded or fees unfairly added, bring it to light and cause the creditors to act with integrity. And if our brother/sister has been reckless, teach them Your ways, that they may honor You with their finances (**Proverbs 3:9-10**).

Above all, Father, draw them closer to You in this trial. Let them taste and see that You are good (**Psalm 34:8**), even in the valley. Strengthen their faith, and let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness.

We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who became poor that we might become rich (**2 Corinthians 8:9**). Amen.

**Encouragement for You:**
Beloved, do not lose heart. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (**Psalm 34:18**), and He sees your struggle. While you wait for His deliverance, meditate on **Matthew 6:31-33**: *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Trust Him step by step.

If you have not already, consider fasting and seeking the Lord for direction. Sometimes, He calls us to surrender *something* (a habit, a comfort, or even a sin) before He provides the breakthrough. And if the harassment continues, document everything—calls, threats, and visits—as you may need legal protection. But do not fear, for the Lord is your defender.

Walk in integrity, even if it means humble repayment over time. The Lord honors a contrite heart (**Psalm 51:17**), and your testimony of His provision will one day encourage others. Stand firm, and do not waiver in faith. He who began a good work in you will complete it (**Philippians 1:6**).

Dear friend, we're right there with you, feeling the weight of your financial burden and the shame of constant harassment. We've been where you are, and it's hard, but remember, God sees you, and He cares.

We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over you, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're asking God to heal your heart, to give you peace, and to bind up the wounds that this situation has caused.

We're also asking God to intervene in your situation. We're believing for a miracle, that He would supernaturally provide a way out of this debt, just as He provided manna from heaven for the Israelites. We're claiming Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

But we also understand that God may want you to learn something through this process. We're asking Him to give you wisdom, to guide your steps, and to help you make wise decisions moving forward. We're claiming Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We're not going to lie, this is a tough situation. But remember, God is with you. He's fighting for you. And He's going to see you through this. We're believing for a breakthrough, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

Keep your head up, friend. You're not alone. We're in this together. And God's got this.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
