Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We join you in lifting this heavy burden to the Lord, knowing that He cares deeply for your struggles and longs to bring you peace and provision. Your heart to repay what you owe is honorable, and we commend you for seeking God’s wisdom in this difficult season. The harassment and threats you face are unjust, but we serve a God who is just and faithful to deliver His children from oppression. Let us first turn to Scripture to anchor our prayers in His truth.

The Lord declares in **Psalm 37:21**, *“The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.”* Your desire to fulfill your obligations aligns with righteousness, and we trust God will honor that. Yet we also know that **Proverbs 22:7** warns, *“The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender.”* This is not God’s perfect will for His children—He wants us free from bondage, including financial bondage. **Philippians 4:19** assures us, *“My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”* Let this promise strengthen your faith as we pray.

However, we must also address something critical: your request for God to *close your accounts completely so you no longer need to make payments*, even though you acknowledge owing money with interest. While we understand the desperation behind this plea, Scripture calls us to integrity in all things. **Romans 13:7-8** commands, *“Give to everyone what you owe: ... owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.”* We must not ask God to remove our responsibilities but rather to provide the means to fulfill them honorably. Asking for debts to be erased without repayment—unless through a legitimate, godly provision like forgiveness or settlement—could be testing God rather than trusting Him. Instead, let us pray for *wisdom, favor, and supernatural provision* to repay what is owed in a way that glorifies Him.

As for the harassment, **Exodus 22:25-27** warns against oppressing the poor with excessive demands, and **Proverbs 19:17** reminds us that *“He who has pity on the poor lends to Yahweh, who will repay him for his deed.”* The tactics being used against you are unrighteous, and we will pray for God’s intervention to silence these unjust threats. He is your protector, and **Psalm 91:4** promises, *“He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.”*

Regarding your request for a personal loan, we pray for God’s *clear direction*. Borrowing to pay off debt can sometimes deepen the cycle unless it is part of a wise, Spirit-led plan. **Proverbs 21:5** says, *“The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and those who are in a hurry surely rush to poverty.”* We encourage you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a financially wise believer or a biblical financial ministry—to ensure any step you take aligns with Scripture and does not lead to further bondage. If God provides a loan, may it come with *favor, low interest, and a manageable repayment plan* that brings true freedom, not temporary relief.

Lastly, we notice you invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, and we rejoice in this! There is *no other name* by which we are saved or through which we boldly approach the throne of grace (**Acts 4:12**, **Hebrews 4:16**). Your faith in Christ is your greatest asset in this battle. Cling to Him, for He is your Provider, Defender, and Peace.

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is weighed down by the heavy yoke of debt and the oppression of relentless harassment. Lord, You see the shame and fear they carry, the threats that disrupt their peace, and the desperation in their heart. We ask You to intervene mightily in this situation, not to remove responsibility, but to provide *supernatural wisdom, favor, and resources* to fulfill every obligation in a way that honors You.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of oppression and fear that has taken hold through these relentless calls and threats. **Psalm 34:17** declares that *“The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.”* We ask You to *silence the voices of the oppressors*—shut the mouths of those who harass, confuse, or threaten. Let no weapon formed against Your child prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**). Protect their home, their reputation, and their new job from every scheme of the enemy. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**).

Lord, we pray for *divine strategy* in repaying these debts. If there is a loan to be secured, let it come with *Your favor*—low interest, fair terms, and a clear path to freedom. Open doors no man can shut (**Revelation 3:8**) and provide opportunities for increase, whether through work, unexpected blessings, or the generosity of others. Teach them to steward every resource wisely, that they may walk in financial freedom and never return to bondage.

Father, we also ask You to *expose any deception* in the lending or collection processes. If there has been unfairness or illegal practices, bring it to light and hold those responsible accountable. Let justice roll down like waters (**Amos 5:24**).

Most importantly, Lord, strengthen their faith in this season. Remind them that You are **Jehovah Jireh**, the God who provides (**Genesis 22:14**). Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they *will* reap if they don’t give up (**Galatians 6:9**). Fill them with Your peace and the assurance that You are working all things for their good (**Romans 8:28**).

We declare *freedom* from financial bondage in Jesus’ mighty name. Break every chain, Lord, and lead them into a season of *abundance, not lack*—not for selfish gain, but to be a testimony of Your faithfulness and to bless others in turn.

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust You to act, for Your Word never returns void (**Isaiah 55:11**). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. In the powerful name of **Jesus Christ**, our Lord and Savior, we pray. **Amen.**

**Encouragement and Next Steps:**
1. **Seek Godly Counsel:** We strongly encourage you to connect with a trusted, financially wise believer or a biblical financial ministry (such as **Crown Financial Ministries** or **Dave Ramsey’s Christian-based teachings**) to review your debts and create a repayment plan. Proverbs 15:22 says, *“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.”*
2. **Document Everything:** Keep records of all communications with debt collectors, especially any threats or harassment. This may be useful if legal action is needed to protect you.
3. **Practice Contentment and Stewardship:** While waiting for God’s provision, ask Him to show you areas where you can cut expenses or increase income. Even small steps toward repayment can bring peace and demonstrate faithfulness.
4. **Guard Your Heart:** Anxiety and shame can overwhelm, but **1 Peter 5:7** tells us to *“cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you.”* Spend time in worship and Scripture to combat fear.
5. **Avoid Further Debt:** Unless the Lord *clearly* directs you otherwise, refrain from taking on new loans without wise counsel. Trust that He can provide in ways you cannot see (**Ephesians 3:20**).

Stand firm, beloved. The Lord is your shepherd—*you shall not want* (**Psalm 23:1**). He will lead you to still waters and restore your soul. Keep seeking Him first, and all these things will be added to you (**Matthew 6:33**). We are standing with you in faith!

Dear friend, we join you in lifting this heavy burden to the Lord, knowing that He cares deeply for your struggles and longs to bring you peace and provision. We're here to support and intercede with you.

Firstly, we want to acknowledge your heart to repay what you owe. This is honorable, and we commend you for seeking God's wisdom in this difficult season. The relentless harassment and threats you face are unjust, but we serve a God who is just and faithful to deliver His children from oppression.

Let's turn to Scripture to anchor our prayers in His truth. In Psalm 37:21, the Lord declares, "The wicked borrow and don't pay back, but the righteous give generously." Your desire to fulfill your obligations aligns with righteousness, and we trust God will honor that. However, we must also remember that God wants us free from bondage, including financial bondage. Proverbs 22:7 warns, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." But Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Now, regarding your request for God to close your accounts completely so you no longer need to make payments, even though you acknowledge owing money with interest, we must address this critically. While we understand the desperation behind this plea, Scripture calls us to integrity in all things. Romans 13:7-8 commands, "Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law." We must not ask God to remove our responsibilities but rather to provide the means to fulfill them honorably. Asking for debts to be erased without repayment, unless through a legitimate, godly provision like forgiveness or settlement, could be testing God rather than trusting Him. Instead, let's pray for wisdom, favor, and supernatural provision to repay what is owed in a way that glorifies Him.

As for the harassment and threats, let's pray for God's intervention to silence these unjust tactics. He is your protector, and Psalm 91:4 promises, "He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart." We also pray for God's intervention in your new job and to protect your home from any disruptions.

Regarding your request for a personal loan, we pray for God's clear direction. Borrowing to pay off debt can sometimes deepen the cycle unless it's part of a wise, Spirit-led plan. Proverbs 21:5 says, "The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty." We encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a financially wise believer or a biblical financial ministry, to ensure any step you take aligns with Scripture and doesn't lead to further bondage. If God provides a loan, may it come with favor, low interest, and a manageable repayment plan that brings true freedom, not temporary relief.

Lastly, we notice you invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, and we rejoice in this! There is no other name by which we are saved or through which we boldly approach the throne of grace (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). Your faith in Christ is your greatest asset in this battle.
