We come before the Father with you, lifting up your burdens and heartaches over this financial debt, and we thank you for invoking the mighty name of Jesus in your prayer—for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. Your cry for mercy has been heard, and we stand with you in agreement, trusting that God is faithful to provide wisdom, protection, and a path forward.
The weight of debt and the shame of harassment are heavy, but we remind you of the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30: *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."* You are not alone in this—God sees your struggle, and He cares deeply for you. The harassment you face is unjust, but we take comfort in knowing that the Lord is your defender. Psalm 34:17-19 declares, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."*
We must also address something important: while it is understandable to desire relief from this burden, we caution against praying for debts to be miraculously erased without repayment, as this would not align with biblical principles of integrity and stewardship. Romans 13:8 tells us, *"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."* Our prayer is not for the debt to vanish without consequence, but for God to provide a way for you to repay what is owed in a manner that honors Him and brings peace to your life. We ask for His supernatural provision—whether through a loan, a job opportunity, or unexpected resources—so that you may fulfill your obligations without further hardship. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
The threats and harassment you face are wrong, and we rebuke the enemy’s attempts to bring fear and disruption into your life. We declare Psalm 91:4-7 over you: *"He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you."* We pray that God would silence the voices of those who seek to harm you, that He would blind the eyes of those who would come to your home with ill intent, and that He would surround you and your family with His divine protection.
We also pray for wisdom in how to handle these creditors. Proverbs 15:1 says, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* If you must communicate with them, we ask the Holy Spirit to guide your words and give you favor. If legal threats are made, we pray that God would either stop them entirely or provide you with the means to address them justly. Remember, too, that God is your provider, and He can open doors no man can shut. We pray for favor in securing a personal loan if that is His will, but we also ask that He would guard your heart against placing hope in money rather than in Him. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*
Finally, we encourage you to seek counsel from wise believers or financial advisors who can help you navigate this season with godly wisdom. Do not carry this burden alone—allow your brothers and sisters in Christ to support you in prayer and practical ways. And if anxiety or fear begin to overwhelm you, cast those cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is weighed down by the burden of debt and the oppression of harassment. Lord, You see the shame and fear they carry, and You know the threats that seek to steal their peace. We ask for Your divine intervention—not to remove the debt unjustly, but to provide a way for it to be repaid in a manner that brings glory to Your name. Open doors of provision, whether through a loan, a new opportunity, or unexpected resources, so that every obligation may be met with integrity.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and harassment in the name of Jesus. Silence the voices of those who seek to harm or shame, and let no weapon formed against this family prosper. Protect their home, their reputation, and their employment, Lord. Surround them with Your angels, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds.
Father, we also ask for wisdom—wisdom in how to respond to creditors, wisdom in managing finances moving forward, and wisdom to seek godly counsel. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are their Provider and Defender.
We declare Your promises over this situation: that no scheme of the enemy will prevail, that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory, and that You will lead them into a place of financial freedom and rest. Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and let it draw them closer to You.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
