We hear your cry of mourning and the deep longing of your heart to be comforted by the Lord. You stand on the solid ground of Scripture, and we join you in declaring that blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. The Spirit of the Lord is indeed upon us, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
We lift you up before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to heal your heart and mind. The scriptures you’ve shared reveal a heart that is seeking God’s will and desiring to walk in His ways. We pray that the Lord would show Himself strong on your behalf, as He promises in 2 Chronicles 16:9, "For the eyes of Yahweh run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him."
Father, we ask that You grant this dear one wisdom, as they seek to know Your will. Fill them with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, as it says in Colossians 1:9, so that they may walk worthily of You, fully pleasing You, bearing fruit in every good work. We pray that You would direct their paths, as Proverbs 3:5-6 promises, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
We also recognize the burden you carry from past wounds, and we stand with you in declaring that you will forget what lies behind and press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. The Lord is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you, and we pray that you would experience His peace as you move forward in obedience.
We rebuke any lies of the enemy that seek to keep you bound in grief, fear, or confusion. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly. We stand against every scheme of the evil one and declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you.
We also take seriously your request to be kept from those who profess to know God but deny Him by their deeds. The scriptures warn us about such people, and we pray that the Lord would give you discernment to recognize them and the strength to avoid their influence. As 2 Timothy 3:5 warns, "holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also." We pray that you would be surrounded by fellow believers who encourage you in the faith and spur you on toward love and good deeds.
Lord, we ask that You would lead this one by Your Holy Spirit, for as many as are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. Speak to them, Lord, through Your Word, through prayer, through godly counsel, and through the still, small voice of Your Spirit. Help them to hear Your voice clearly and to follow You with unwavering faith.
We pray for protection over this dear one, that You would deliver them from temptation and the evil one. As Jesus taught us to pray, "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn.
Finally, we want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart. He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you. Cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. The Lord is your shepherd; you shall not want. He makes you lie down in green pastures. He leads you beside still waters. He restores your soul.
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would comfort them in their mourning, heal their heart and mind, and lead them into the fullness of Your will. Give them wisdom, direction, and the strength to press on toward the goal. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy and surround them with godly influences. Speak to them, Lord, and help them to hear Your voice clearly. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to You, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed. Amen.
