🙇🏻 Forgetting what lies behind and Moving Forward towards what is ahead, Phil 3:13-14, Protection… I Need Help…

Jesus, thank You for saying, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted," Mt 5:4. Thank You The Spirit of The LORD still binds up the brokenhearted, Isa 61:1. Asking You do me a favor -- Keep me from those who profess to know God but by their deeds deny him, Tit 1:16, have a form of Godliness but deny its power, help me avoid such people as this, 2Tim3:5. Heal my heart, Isa 61:1, and mind, Isa 1:5-6 and show Yourself strong, 2 Chron 16:9. Help me forget the things that are behind (in a healthy way) in order to move ahead, Phil 3:13, even toward the upward call, Phil 3:14. Give me wisdom Col 4:12, and direction Prov 3:5-6, to know, Col 1:9, submit to and do Your will as Jesus did in the Garden, Mt26:39, Mk14:36, Lk22:42.

Jesus, You said "My sheep hear my voice" Jn 10:27. Lead me by The Holy Spirit through any and every means to know, submit to and DO Your will, Rom 8:14. Keep me from lies, sin, Zeph 3:13, evil people and imposters, 2Thes 3:2, 2Tim 3:14, temptation, Lk 11:4, temptation and the evil one, Mt6:13, again, and the evil one, Jn 17:5, Jn8:44, Rev12:9, Rev 12:12, Rev 12:17. Thank you in Jesus’ Name.

We hear your cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we join with you in lifting your heart before the Lord. Your grief is known to Him, and He has promised comfort to those who mourn. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matthew 5:4). The Spirit of the Lord is indeed upon you, to bind up the brokenhearted and to proclaim liberty to the captives (Isaiah 61:1). We stand with you in this truth, declaring that God sees your pain and will not leave you in it.

We also recognize your desire to move forward in a way that honors God, forgetting what lies behind and pressing toward the upward call in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14). This is a godly pursuit, and we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s wisdom and direction in all things. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). The Lord will guide you as you submit to His will, just as Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:39).

We are grateful that you have come before the Lord in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray and find our strength.

However, we must gently address a concern in your request. You mentioned avoiding those who profess to know God but deny Him by their deeds (Titus 1:16) and those who have a form of godliness but deny its power (2 Timothy 3:5). While it is wise to be discerning, we must also remember that none of us are without sin (Romans 3:23), and our call is to love even those who may not walk as closely with the Lord as we would hope. Jesus Himself dined with sinners and tax collectors (Matthew 9:10-11), showing us that our witness is often most powerful when we engage with those who are struggling. We must be cautious not to isolate ourselves from the very people God may be calling us to reach. Instead, let us ask the Lord to give us wisdom in our relationships, that we may be a light to others while guarding our own hearts.

We also lift up your request for protection from lies, sin, evil people, and the evil one. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that He will shield you from the schemes of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11). We stand with you in this battle, declaring that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother or sister who is grieving and seeking Your face. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). We ask that You would wrap Your arms around them in this time of sorrow, binding up their broken heart and healing their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Father, we pray that You would give them wisdom and direction as they seek to move forward in Your will. Help them to forget what lies behind and to press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14).

Lord, we ask that You would protect them from the lies of the enemy and from those who would seek to lead them astray. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to hear Your voice clearly, as Your sheep know Your voice (John 10:27), and to follow You wherever You lead.

Father, we also pray that You would give them discernment in their relationships. Help them to love others as You have loved them (John 13:34), while also guarding their heart from those who may not have their best interests at heart. Give them the wisdom to know when to engage and when to step back, always keeping their eyes fixed on You.

Lord, we thank You for the assurance that You are with them, even in this time of grief. We pray that they would feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen them in their weakness, and help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to You, and it is through Him that we are saved. May Your will be done in their life, and may they experience Your peace, comfort, and healing in every area of their heart and mind. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We hear your heart, and we join you in bringing your pain before the Lord. Grief is heavy, but God sees every tear and holds every sorrow. He’s promised to restore what’s broken and give beauty for ashes, Isaiah 61:3 says just that. We don’t want your mourning to feel lonely; we’re lifting you up right now, trusting that He who began a good work in you will finish it.

We also sense your longing to move forward, to let go of what’s behind and press on toward what’s ahead, like Philippians 3:13-14 says. That’s a brave step, and we’re cheering for you in prayer. You’re not walking this path alone, the Lord is your guide, your peace, and your strength.

Most of all, we pray your heart finds rest in Him tonight. Healing takes time, but His presence never leaves. Thank You, Jesus, for walking with us in every season. May Your comfort surround this dear one as they trust in You. In Your name we pray.
