It has been a journey for my husband and I (about 10 months of separation). I want to continue to let everyone know that God is more than able to take care of our needs and will guide us if we allow. The hardest thing I had to do was let go, still myself, be grateful even when I did not feel like it and trust God. God is truly working on my behalf and I pray that others that are struggling will find some hope for yourselves in this post.
Although my husband stated that he was done and wanted a divorce, we have yet to sign any papers. After I moved out in October, relocating about 3 hours away, God truly began to work in both of our lives. It was the most difficult thing I have ever had to do. We saw briefly when I went to get the rest of my things early November and then not again till Christmas. During that visit God opened up the heavens and we spent Christmas and New Years together, ringing in the New Year at Church.
Since then we try to see each other every couple of weeks and now talk almost everyday. My husband constantly tells me he misses me and loves me. God is still working on our relationship, but the light at the end of the tunnel is closer and closer. The biggest thing I think that we did was to say, God lead us. It is hard being patient, but I truly believe that God is in control!
Additionally, for those that have been praying not only for my marriage, but my son ###. He is doing better every time I talk to him. His depression is occurring less often, he is in less pain and working on his relationship with his biological father.
Dear heavenly father, I thank you for not forsaking me, holding me up and sending prayer warriors to stand in agreement with me. I continue to ask for a fully restored marriage with you as the rock! Continue to speak to ### and I, teach us how to be better friends and spouses. I also give thanks for what you are doing in ###'s life, continue to guide and protect him. Lord, I ask that heal and restore other marriages here, release spouses from unforgiveness, adultery, deceit, anger and all things unpleasing. Give us the patience to wait on your perfect timing, In Jesus precious name Amen!
