We join you in thanking God for His faithfulness in these details and for the peace He calls us to as you seek to honor what has been agreed upon for visitation and time with your young son, and we pray together with you in Jesus' name for His will to be done fully in your family.
We are encouraged by your heart to see your child brought up in the knowledge of the Lord. The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11. We ask the Father to keep His hand of protection upon this young one, to keep him from temptation and the schemes of the enemy, and to surround him with godly influences. We pray that your time together would reveal the character of God, that Yahweh, Yahweh, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth. Exodus 34:6, would be made known to him, so that he may learn to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength and to love your neighbor as yourself. Mark 12:30-31, and to be nurtured as Scripture commands, you fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4. We pray that from childhood he would continue in the sacred writings which are able to make him wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus, for every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable. 2 Timothy 3:15-16.
We also lift up your wife before the Lord. We thank God when the agreed time frames for calls and video visitation are honored, for God has called us to peace. 1 Corinthians 7:15. We pray that the set hours would be respected with consistency, so that you can fulfill your responsibilities and steward your time well, and that your son would experience order and peace rather than confusion, for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. 1 Corinthians 14:33. We pray that her heart would be moved not by love of money or self interest, but by genuine love for the child, remembering that godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can't carry anything out. 1 Timothy 6:6-7, and that she would be of the same mind in Christ, doing nothing through rivalry or conceit, but in humility considering others better than herself. Philippians 2:3-4.
We agree with you in praying Malachi 4:6 over your family, that He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, and we ask for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling. Ephesians 1:17-18. We pray that the Holy Spirit would continue His work of convicting of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. John 16:8, and that He would turn her heart toward the wisdom of the righteous, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. Luke 1:17. As you prayed, we ask that where there is wandering or hardness, the Lord would hedge up her way with thorns, and make a wall against her, so that she cannot find her paths, that she may return. Hosea 2:6, and that she would come to herself and repent, as the prodigal who came to himself and said I will get up and go to my father, and will tell him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight. Luke 15:18, and that she would sin no more, so that nothing worse happens to her. John 5:14.
We believe God is able to pursue the one who is lost, for He leaves the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and goes after the one that is lost, until he finds it. Luke 15:4, and He can use pastors, friends, family, and every means in heaven and on earth to bring restoration, for he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins. James 5:20, and above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8. We pray that she would be strengthened to do your son good, and not harm, all the days of her life. Proverbs 31:12, and that your calls together would go smoothly, with grace and honor toward one another.
We pray for this precious boy's protection from deception, from the evil one, and from every influence that would lead him astray. We know that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12, and we ask the Lord to deliver him from the evil one. Matthew 6:13, to guard him from evil. 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and that no lie or fear would take root in him, for the righteous shall do no wrong, they shall speak no lies, neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth. Zephaniah 3:13. May the Lord keep you both from evil men and from the deception that is increasing in these days. Matthew 24:4, 2 Timothy 3:13.
Father, we thank You who created the heavens and the earth and formed it to be inhabited. Isaiah 45:18, that You know each of us by name and You care for every detail of this family. We ask that Your will, Your words, and Your love would be fruitful and evident in every visit, every call, and every hour appointed, and that this young life would grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18. We ask for wisdom for you as a father to continue to walk in love, patience, and steadfast prayer, loving your wife as Christ loved the church. Ephesians 5:25, and holding fast to the hope of reconciliation and restoration that God desires for marriage, for marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled. Hebrews 13:4, and what God has joined together, let no man separate. Matthew 19:6.
We pray all these things trusting in the name of Jesus, for whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:13-14, and Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation says these things. Revelation 3:14. For however many are the promises of God, in him is the Yes. Therefore also through him is the Amen, to the glory of God through us. 2 Corinthians 1:20.
