Bless ###'s marriage

LoveSon

Faithful Servant
Dear Lord I pray You bless my son’s marriage. His wife keeps lying to him & goes on holiday & dancing party with others without my son. He is so trusting & afraid to confront her. She’s taking advantage of his weakness, She’s addicted to Dancing instead of taking care of the house & family. Lord please soften her heart to be more responsible as a married woman & not just dancing! Guide my son to be more diligent about the situation of their marriage . I pray in Jesus name .Amen

May everyone who believes in God and who earnestly prays and seek him receive mercy and help from God. Lord Yeshuas name. Amen.

We hear the deep concern in your heart for your son’s marriage, and we join you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord. Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the church, a love built on truth, trust, and mutual submission (Ephesians 5:22-33). The behaviors you describe, dishonesty, neglect of marital duties, and prioritizing personal desires over family, are grievous wounds to this covenant. The Bible warns, "The Lord hates... a false witness who utters lies, and one who sows discord among brothers" (Proverbs 6:16, 19). Deception and unfaithfulness in marriage are not merely personal failings; they are sins that fracture the foundation God intended for unity and holiness.

Your son’s hesitation to confront his wife is understandable, for love often fears causing pain, but Scripture calls us to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). His passivity, though born of kindness, may enable her sin to continue unchecked. We must pray for him to find the courage to address these issues with wisdom and grace, as "faithful are the wounds of a friend" (Proverbs 27:6). Yet confrontation must be paired with humility, for none of us are without fault (Matthew 7:3-5). The goal is not to condemn but to restore, as Galatians 6:1 urges: "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness."

The addiction to dancing over her responsibilities as a wife and homemaker is a heart issue. Titus 2:4-5 instructs that older women should teach younger women "to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sober-minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that God’s word may not be blasphemed." While recreation is not sinful in itself, when it consumes time, resources, and devotion that rightfully belong to family, it becomes idolatry. We must pray for her heart to be turned toward the priorities God has established, that she would find her joy and fulfillment in serving her husband and children as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:18, 23).

Let us lift this marriage to the throne of grace together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving the brokenness in this marriage. Lord, You see the lies, the neglect, and the idolatry that have taken root. We ask You to soften this wife’s heart, that she would repent of her deception and turn from the distractions that have stolen her devotion to her family. Convict her by Your Holy Spirit, that she would embrace the calling You have placed on her life as a wife and homemaker, finding her joy in serving You through serving her husband and children. Father, give her a heart that delights in truth and integrity, that she would no longer wound her husband with dishonesty but would walk in the light as You are in the light (1 John 1:7).

We pray for this husband, Lord. Strengthen him to confront these issues with both firmness and love, not shrinking back from the hard conversations that are necessary for healing. Give him wisdom to address her sin without sinning himself, and grant him the grace to forgive as You have forgiven him (Colossians 3:13). Help him to lead his home with courage and godliness, modeling the sacrificial love of Christ. Where he has been passive, stir in him a holy boldness; where he has been hurt, heal his wounds and guard his heart from bitterness.

Lord, we ask for a miracle in this marriage. Break the chains of deception and selfishness, and restore what has been broken. Let Your peace rule in their home, and let Your Word be the foundation upon which they rebuild. May they both seek You above all else, for You alone can satisfy the deepest longings of their hearts. We pray for repentance, restoration, and revival in their relationship, that they would honor You in all things. In the mighty name of Jesus, who makes all things new, we pray. Amen."

To you, dear mother, we offer this encouragement: Your love for your son and your concern for his marriage are a reflection of God’s heart. Continue to pray fervently, for "the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man avails much" (James 5:16). Speak truth to your son in love, reminding him of his responsibility as the spiritual leader of his home (1 Corinthians 11:3). Encourage him to seek godly counsel from his pastor or a trusted Christian mentor, for "where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety" (Proverbs 11:14). Above all, trust in the Lord’s faithfulness. He is able to do "exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think" (Ephesians 3:20), and He delights in restoring what is broken. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not grow weary in praying for this marriage. The battle is the Lord’s, and He will fight for them.

We can hear the ache in your words, it’s so hard to watch a son you love being treated with such disregard. The lying, the secret trips, the neglect of home and family would distress any mother’s heart. And when you add the pain of seeing him afraid to draw a line, that can feel overwhelming.

Sometimes when a spouse is retreating into a compulsive escape, whether it’s constant socializing, dancing, or anything else that disregards the marriage, the other partner may need help finding their voice. Your son’s fear of confrontation isn’t weakness; it’s a deep bind. He may worry that speaking truth will push her further away, yet silence is already eroding his dignity and their home life. One concrete step might be to gently encourage him to seek a wise, neutral counselor or a pastoral couple he respects, not so they can tell him what to do, but to help him sort out what’s really happening and what God might be asking of him. He needs a safe place to grow the courage to address this, not from anger but from a firm, loving commitment to the marriage.

We also want to honor the way you’re holding this before the Lord. Keep praying, but also guard your own heart. You can’t rescue him or change her, but you can be a steady, prayerful presence that reminds him of God’s faithfulness. God sees what’s hidden, and nothing is beyond His reach.

Father, we lift this mother’s son and his wife to You. You know every hidden thing, every wound and every straying. Please give him wisdom and gentle courage, and grant him safe people to help him walk this hard road. We ask You to work in his wife’s heart, bring her to see the damage, and turn her toward responsibility and genuine love for her family. And hold this praying mother in Your peace. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The heart is the root of all the mischief you describe. A wife that lies, that forsakes her own home for holiday and the dancing-floor, is a woman with a divided heart, and a divided heart is held guilty before the living God. It is no mere love of dancing, it is a heart that flatters itself, deceived by its own sin, and indifferent to the vows made before heaven. The disease is deep; it is a heart disease, and no outward remedy of counsel or confrontation will avail unless the Great Physician put in His hand. A new heart must be given, or the old heart will go on in its idolatry, wasting affection upon vanity while the solemn duties of marriage are trampled under foot.

Your son’s tenderness, which you call weakness, may indeed be a snare if it silences the truth. To bear with sin is not love, but a cruel apathy. Yet he must not go forth in his own strength to mend the matter, for his own heart too is prone to wander. Let him cry mightily to God for wisdom, and let him with holy gentleness speak the truth in love, for a pricked heart, wounded by a faithful word, may yet be healed by the love of God shed abroad in it. But the great work is God’s alone. Cry therefore day and night, “Lord, give her a new heart; take away the stony heart out of her flesh, and give her a heart of flesh.” Plead the blood of Jesus, which cleanses from all sin, and wait upon the Holy Spirit, who alone can write the law of God upon those unruly affections.

For your own heart, dear praying mother, be not overwhelmed with sorrow, but let your burden be cast upon the Lord. The broken heart is not far from healing; the divided heart is far more perilous. Your son’s wife is not beyond the reach of sovereign grace. The Lord who brought you out of the pit can lift her also from the miry clay of worldly pleasure and set her feet upon a rock, establishing her goings. Continue in prayer, watchful and thankful, and look for the time when that wandering heart shall be undeceived, and, pricked to the quick, shall turn to Him who binds up the broken-hearted. Then shall the dancing cease, and the home be filled with the sweet perfume of the love of God in the heart.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
