Father, help Parents Read and Understand The Bible Together -- I got them matching GIANT font Bibles for her birthday . Please undo decades of wrong thinking, worries and cares. Renew his and her mind. Help them enjoy reading and desire to watch edifying movies with me, help my ### and ### to understand, retain and be doers. Let me be filled with wisdom, love, kindness and ability to impart the Holy Spirit. Would be a shame if either missed eternity, remove any blindness, release light love and may the evil one be bound, gaged and choked with a great chain, Rev 20:1-2. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We rejoice with you in your love for your parents and your desire to see them hunger for the Word and fellowship together, and we thank God for the thoughtful gift of those large print Bibles to help them read with ease. What a beautiful picture of honor for your father and mother, which the Lord commands and blesses.

We join you in praying that the Lord will create in them a deep spiritual hunger. As it is written, As newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby 1 Peter 2:2, and we ask that He will give them that longing. We pray that He will open their eyes, that they may see wondrous things out of your law Psalm 119:18, and that the eyes of their hearts will be enlightened Ephesians 1:18 so they can understand and retain what they read and be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves James 1:22.

We agree with you for the renewing of their minds after decades of wrong thinking and for freedom from worries and cares. Scripture warns that the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word Matthew 13:22, so we pray they will be transformed by the renewing of their mind, that they may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God Romans 12:2. We ask the Father to help them cast all their worries on Him, because He cares for them 1 Peter 5:7, and to seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness Matthew 6:33 together as husband and wife, enjoying the Word and edifying fellowship with you.

We also lift you up, that God will fill you with wisdom and love and kindness as you minister to them. We gently remind you that it is God alone who gives the Holy Spirit to those who believe and obey Him Acts 5:32, and we cannot impart Him by our own power, but we can faithfully share the gospel and the Word in love, and God will work through it. We pray you will be filled with wisdom from above which is first pure, then peaceful James 3:17, and speak the truth in love Ephesians 4:15.

We stand with you against the blindness of the enemy, for the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving 2 Corinthians 4:4, and we ask the Lord to remove any veil and let His light shine into their hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ 2 Corinthians 4:6. We know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood Ephesians 6:12, and we thank God for the promise you quoted where an angel lays hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and binds him Revelation 20:1-2, and we trust the Lord to restrain the evil one and protect your parents from his deception until that final day, and to draw them fully to salvation in Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come together and lift these precious parents to You. Pour out upon them a hunger for Your Word, give them joy as they read together, help them understand, remember, and obey what they read, and knit their hearts together in fellowship and in love for You. Renew their minds, wash away years of wrong thinking, lift every worry and care, and fill their home with Your peace. Fill their child with Your wisdom, patience, and gentle love to minister faithfully. Remove all blindness, shine Your light and love upon them, guard them from the evil one, and secure them for eternity with You. We ask that none would miss eternal life but that all would know Jesus and be saved. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We were so moved by your love for your mom and dad and that thoughtful gift of matching giant print Bibles for her birthday. It says so much that you want to read and grow alongside them, and that your deepest desire is for them to know the Lord and not miss eternity. We join you in that longing.

We hear how heavy decades of worries, old ways of thinking and cares can feel, for them and for you as you carry them in prayer. Spiritual hunger and understanding often grow gradually, not all at once. It is more like training than trying, a lifelong process with highs and slower seasons, and God is patient as He works. Wanting to read together and share edifying movies is already a beautiful way to build fellowship.

A gentle next step that often helps is to keep it small and consistent rather than long or pressured. You might invite them to read just a few verses together two or three times a week at a time that works for them, and briefly share what stood out to each of you, or choose one short film to watch together and talk about afterward. Honoring how each of them learns and engages best allows the Word, prayer and worship to take root naturally, and we trust the Holy Spirit to bring the understanding and growth only He can give.

Father, we lift this family to You in Jesus' name. Draw this mom and dad to Yourself, renew their minds, lift the weight of worry and clear any blindness with Your light and love. Keep them in Your care and restrain the work of the evil one. Fill our friend with wisdom, kindness and patience as they share Your truth in love. Amen.

Your burden for your parents is a holy and loving burden, and we join our hearts with yours in prayer before the throne of grace.

We thank God for the spiritual hunger you desire for them, and for the thoughtful gift of those Bibles in large print. It is a good thing to place the Word of God within easy reach, for within the covers of the Bible you find all theology, and nothing outside of this Book is binding on a Christian as doctrine. The Bible and only the Bible is the religion of Christians, and to the Law and to the Testimony we must go. We pray that the Lord will give them not only Bibles in hand, but a love for the Book in heart, that they may read together and understand together.

We pray as the psalmist prayed, Fill their faces with shame that they may seek Your name, O Lord. If there have been decades of wrong thinking, worries and cares that have clouded the mind, we ask the Lord to renew their minds and to undo what sin and the world have woven. Let every strength that is merely their own fail, that they may wait upon the Lord and renew their strength. May the blindness be removed and light and love be released, that they may look unto Christ and be saved, for there is salvation in none other. The way of salvation is simple, Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, and whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. It is not by our wisdom or our works, but by Divine Grace through faith in Christ Jesus, trusting in His Person, His finished work, His blood and righteousness alone.

We ask that they may not only be hearers of the Word, but doers, retaining what they read and walking in it. May the Lord give you wisdom, love and kindness as you walk beside them, speaking the plain Gospel over and over, for God will bless His own Word. Remember that we cannot impart the Holy Spirit by our own power, for He is the gift of God through Christ alone, but we may pray that the Lord Himself will pour out His Spirit upon them, that they may be born again and kept secure in Christ.

We pray also for sweet fellowship in your home, that they may desire what edifies and turns the heart toward Christ, and that your time together may be seasoned with prayer and the reading of Scripture. Get with God, be much with God, for prayer brings Divine Light.

And against the evil one we pray as you have prayed, that the Lord who has the great chain in His hand would bind the deceiver and restrain his power over their minds, that they may hear the Gospel freely and look to Christ and live. It would indeed be a shame beyond all shame if either should miss eternity, for salvation concerns every one of us, and we shall all perish unless we find salvation in Christ.

So we commend your father and mother to Him who is able to save to the uttermost. May He give them eyes to see Jesus, for to see Jesus is to see salvation, and He Himself is salvation. May they believe on Him with unquestioning confidence and find that His honor is engaged to save the meanest of His sheep.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will make this common salvation their own present possession, and that your household may rejoice in God together.
