We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your parents.
We have continued to bring your parents before the Father with thanksgiving for the beautiful work He has already begun in helping them read and understand the Bible together. We have been praying that the Lord would deepen their spiritual hunger and sweet fellowship as they sit together with their matching giant print Bibles, and that He would use His Word as the means of their sanctification and renewal. We have asked that He would cleanse them by His truth according to John 17:17 and wash them with the water of the Word according to Eph 5:26, and renew their minds according to Rom 12:2 so that decades of wrong thinking, worries and cares would be undone and they would become effectual doers of the Word and not hearers only according to James 1:22. We have prayed that God would be big in their eyes and every other concern would become small as they cast all their cares on Jesus because He cares for them according to 1 Peter 5:7, that they would find joy as they read according to Jer 15:16 and that the Lord would open their understanding according to Luke 24:45 to retain and live what they read. We have also lifted up your desire to encourage them and to impart blessing to them, and prayed for your own filling with wisdom, love and kindness, and we have asked for their protection from temptation, lies and the evil one according to Matt 6:13 and 1 John 5:18, that darkness would be removed and the light of Christ would shine upon them according to 2 Cor 4:6 as they dwell on eternity according to Heb 12:2.
