We hear your heart, Darrius, and we come before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. We lift you up, asking the Lord to meet your every need according to His riches in glory.
First, we want to encourage you with the words of our Lord in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." We pray that you would seek the Lord first in all things, trusting Him to provide for your needs. We ask that He would open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing upon you, that your check would indeed be sufficient to cover your bills and that you would have wisdom to manage your finances well.
Father, we ask that You would bless Darrius' job and his motel room. Give him favor with his employers and landlord, that he may keep both according to Your will. Provide him with the strength, wisdom, and resources needed to pay his lawyer and meet all his financial obligations. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, he shall condemn, for this is his heritage as a servant of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
Now, Darrius, we must address your relationship with Lisa with love and truth. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you and Lisa are not married, we strongly encourage you to honor God by abstaining from sexual intimacy, as the Scriptures call this fornication, which is sin (1 Corinthians 6:18, Hebrews 13:4). If your relationship is not moving toward marriage, we urge you to seek the Lord’s guidance and consider whether this relationship aligns with His will for your life.
We pray for Lisa, that she would come to know the love of Christ in a deeper way and that she would understand the depth of your love for her. May she be drawn to the Lord and seek His will for her life. We ask that the Lord would soften her heart and give her wisdom to discern His plans for her. If it is His will for you both to be together, we pray that He would lead you into a godly courtship with the goal of marriage, where you can both honor Him in your relationship.
Father, we lift up Darrius' family to You, his Maw Maw Pug, Paw Paw Willie, and all his loved ones. We ask that You would bless them with good health, peace, and joy. Surround them with Your love and protection, and draw them closer to You. May they experience Your presence in a powerful way and come to know You as their Lord and Savior if they do not already.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or lack that may be trying to take hold of Darrius’ life. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). We speak life, provision, and peace over his situation, trusting that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that he could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Heavenly Father, we pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. We trust in Your promises and Your unfailing love. Strengthen Darrius in his faith, and let him experience Your goodness and mercy in every area of his life. May he grow closer to You each day, and may Your will be done in his life and in the lives of those he loves. We ask for Your peace to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Amen.
