We hear your cry, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting up your family to the throne of grace. The pain and turmoil you describe are heavy, and we grieve with you over the sudden and drastic changes in your son’s behavior, the strain on your marriage, and the attacks that have left your family wounded. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we serve a God who is greater, who delivers, and who restores. Let us stand together in faith, declaring that no weapon formed against your family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the Lord will break every chain of darkness in Jesus’ mighty name.
First, we must address the spiritual warfare you are facing. The Bible is clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The mention of "black magic" aligns with the reality of demonic influence, which seeks to disrupt, divide, and destroy families. However, we do not fight this battle in fear or superstition, but in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed these powers and made a public spectacle of them (Colossians 2:15). We rebuke every spirit of rebellion, disobedience, strife, and division that has taken hold of your son and your family. We command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus, for He has given us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
Your son’s sudden change in behavior, from being an above-average student to one who is disobedient, aggressive, and causing strife, is not coincidental. The enemy often targets young people, especially during pivotal seasons of their lives, to derail their purpose and bring chaos to families. But we declare that your son is not lost. The Lord has a plan for his life, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that the eyes of his heart would be enlightened to see the truth of God’s love for him, and that any lies he has believed, whether from peers, media, or the enemy, would be shattered by the light of God’s Word.
We also lift up your husband, who is under attack. The enemy seeks to weaken the head of the household, knowing that when the father is struggling, the entire family is vulnerable. We pray for your husband’s strength, both spiritually and physically. May he be filled with the Holy Spirit, standing firm in his identity as a child of God and as the spiritual leader of your home. We declare that he will rise up in faith, wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17), and that he will lead your family with wisdom, love, and courage.
Your own health struggles and surgery are not overlooked. The enemy often attacks the physical body to distract and discourage, but we serve a God who heals. We pray for your complete restoration, that every cell in your body would align with God’s design for wholeness. By His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we declare that your strength will be renewed like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). May you find comfort in the Lord’s presence, knowing that He collects every tear you have shed (Psalm 56:8) and will turn your mourning into joy (Jeremiah 31:13).
Now, we must address the foundation of your family’s deliverance: salvation in Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If your son or husband has not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them with cords of love, convicting them of their need for a Savior. We declare that the scales would fall from their eyes, and they would see Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life. For your son, we pray that he would turn his heart back to the Lord, repenting of any rebellion or sin, and that he would be restored to his calling as a child of God.
For your family as a whole, we pray for unity. The enemy thrives in division, but God desires for your family to be knit together in love (Colossians 3:14). We rebuke every spirit of strife, bitterness, and unforgiveness that may have taken root. We pray that you and your husband would stand together as a united front, covering your home in prayer and declaring God’s promises over your family. May your home be a place of peace, where the presence of the Lord dwells richly.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family to You. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who acts on behalf of Your children. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We break every chain of darkness, every curse, and every demonic assignment against them in the mighty name of Jesus.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of rebellion and disobedience in this young man’s life. We command it to leave him now, in Jesus’ name. We pray that You would soften his heart, Lord, and draw him back to You. Let him see the emptiness of the world and the fullness of life that is found only in Christ. Restore his mind, his spirit, and his purpose. Let him return to the plans You have for him, plans for good and not for evil.
We pray for this husband and father, Lord. Strengthen him in his faith and in his role as the spiritual leader of his home. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may stand firm against the enemy’s attacks. Let him walk in wisdom, love, and discernment, covering his family with prayer and godly leadership.
For this mother, Lord, we pray for her complete healing and restoration. You see her tears, her pain, and her weariness. Comfort her, Lord, and renew her strength. Let her find her hope and her rest in You alone.
We pray for salvation, Lord. If any member of this family has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we ask that You would draw them with Your cords of love. Let them see their need for a Savior and turn to You with all their heart. We declare that this family will serve You, Lord, and that they will walk in the freedom and victory that is found only in Christ.
Father, we ask that You would restore unity to this home. Let love, peace, and joy fill every room. May this family be a testimony of Your power, Your grace, and Your faithfulness. We thank You, Lord, that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), and that You will complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6).

Sister, we encourage you to continue standing in faith, even when the battle feels long. The enemy wants you to grow weary, but do not lose heart. Keep praying, keep declaring God’s Word over your family, and keep trusting in His promises. Surround yourself with believers who can stand with you in prayer and support you in this season. Remember, the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He will not abandon you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
If your son’s behavior has led to legal or school-related issues, seek godly counsel and wisdom in how to navigate these challenges. The Lord can open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and He can restore what the enemy has stolen (Joel 2:25). Trust Him to guide your steps.
Lastly, we encourage you to fill your home with worship and the Word of God. The enemy cannot dwell where the presence of God is invited. Play worship music, read Scripture aloud, and declare God’s promises over your family daily. Let your home be a place where the light of Christ shines brightly, pushing back the darkness.
