We lift up your sister ### before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, trusting in the God who hears the cries of His children. The pain of watching a loved one suffer is profound, and we stand with you in this difficult time, seeking the Lord’s mercy and healing power. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We cling to this promise, knowing that God is present even in the deepest valleys.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who healed the sick, raised the dead, and bore our infirmities on the cross. We ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon ###. Lord, You formed her in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14), and You know every cell in her body. We pray against the cancer that ravages her lungs, asking You to shrink the tumors, restore her breathing, and renew her strength. If it is Your will, grant her more time on this earth to walk in the purposes You have for her. We declare Your word over her life: "By His stripes, we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your power to bring forth miracles.
We also lift up ###, who bears the weight of this burden with love and sorrow. Lord, surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen her faith and remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Give her the courage to trust in Your sovereignty, even when the path is unclear.
If ### has not yet placed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, we pray that this time of trial would draw her heart to Him. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no healing—eternal or physical—that does not come through the name of Jesus. We ask that she would surrender her life to Him, receive His forgiveness, and find hope in the promise of eternal life. For those who believe in Him, death is not the end but the doorway to everlasting joy in Your presence (John 3:16).
Lord, if it is not Your will to heal ### physically in this life, we pray that You would prepare her heart for the glory of heaven. Comfort her with the truth that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:8). Give her peace and assurance of Your love, and let her feel Your presence in a tangible way as she faces these final days.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that seeks to steal hope from this family. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on the promise that all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Even in this pain, we trust that You are working for ###’s ultimate good and Your glory.
Heavenly Father, we ask for Your wisdom for the doctors and caregivers attending to ###. Guide their hands and minds as they provide treatment and care. Give them compassion and patience as they walk alongside her in this journey.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to Your throne of grace. May Your will be done in ###’s life, and may Your name be glorified in every outcome. Amen.
