We join with you in recognizing the spiritual battles that rage against the children of God, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Your heart cries out against the wickedness of the enemy, and we stand with you in rebuking the forces of darkness that seek to torment, deceive, and lead God’s people into sin.
The Scriptures remind us that the devil is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44), and his goal is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we serve a God who is greater, for "greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). The Lord has given us authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We do not fear the schemes of the devil, for Christ has already disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame by triumphing over them at the cross (Colossians 2:15).
Yet, we must also remember that our battle is not fought with anger or vengeance, but with the power of prayer, the Word of God, and the blood of Jesus. The Lord has called us to resist the devil, and he will flee from us (James 4:7). Our focus must remain on the victory that is already ours in Christ, not on the cursing or eternal torment of the enemy, for that is the Lord’s judgment alone. Instead, we bind the works of darkness in the name of Jesus and declare that no weapon formed against God’s children shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also take this moment to encourage you to guard your heart and mind, for even in spiritual warfare, we must not let bitterness or hatred take root. The Lord calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), not because they deserve it, but because Christ first loved us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). Our victory is found in trusting the Lord’s justice and resting in His sovereignty.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority You have given us through Your Son to stand against the schemes of the enemy. Lord, we bind every lying, manipulative, and destructive spirit that seeks to torment Your children. We declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment, You shall condemn. Father, we ask that You expose the works of darkness and render them powerless by the blood of Jesus.
We pray for Your protection over Your children, that You would surround them with Your angels and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth. Lord, let Your light shine so brightly in their lives that the enemy flees in terror. We ask that You break every chain of deception, every stronghold of fear, and every plan of the evil one to lead Your people astray.
Father, we also ask that You strengthen Your children in their faith, that they may stand firm in Your Word and not be swayed by the lies of the enemy. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and remind them that the battle belongs to You. Let them rest in the knowledge that You are their shield and their exceedingly great reward.
We rebuke the enemy in the name of Jesus and declare that he has no authority over the lives of those who belong to You. We pray that You would bring conviction to those who are being used by the enemy, that they may repent and turn to You for salvation. Father, let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and let Your kingdom come in power.
We thank You, Lord, for the victory that is ours in Christ Jesus. May Your name be glorified in all things. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, clothed in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6). The Lord is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Walk in His truth, and let His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
