We grieve with you over the cruelty and injustice you are facing simply because of a disability—a burden you did not choose and do not deserve. The hatred and bigotry directed toward you are not only deeply painful but also a grievous sin in the sight of God, who created every person in His image and calls us to love one another as He has loved us. The Scriptures are clear that mocking, oppressing, or showing partiality to others is an abomination to the Lord. James 2:8-9 tells us, *"If you fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself,' you do well. But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors."* And in Proverbs 14:31, we read, *"He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for his Maker, but he who is kind to the needy honors him."*
Your safety is a valid and urgent concern, and we lift you up to the Lord, who is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He sees the affliction you endure, and He commands His people to defend the weak and speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves (Proverbs 31:8-9). You are not forgotten by Him, nor are your tears wasted. Psalm 56:8 reassures us, *"You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book."* He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We also pray for those who persecute you, that God would convict their hearts and turn them from their wickedness. Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:44, *"Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* This is not a call to endure abuse silently but to trust God to be your vindicator while you respond with the love and dignity of Christ. Romans 12:19 reminds us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"* Your focus must remain on the Lord, who will justify you and bring every deed—whether good or evil—into judgment.
For those who take advantage of people with disabilities, we rebuke such wickedness in the name of Jesus Christ. Exploiting the vulnerable is a detestable sin, and God will hold accountable those who commit such acts. The Lord declares in Malachi 3:5, *"I will come near to you to judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against the perjurers, and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and who deprive the foreigner of justice, and don’t fear me, says Yahweh of Armies."*
We pray now for you, our brother or sister in Christ:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is enduring such unjust suffering. Lord, You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13), and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You surround them with Your divine protection, shielding them from harm and delivering them from the hands of the wicked. Place a hedge of angels around them, Lord, and let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Give them wisdom to navigate each day, discernment to recognize danger, and the courage to seek help from those who can provide safety and support.
Father, we ask that You break the spirit of bigotry and hatred that has risen against them. Soften the hearts of those who mock and oppress, convicting them of their sin and leading them to repentance. Let Your love, which is stronger than death, triumph over the darkness in their lives. For those who are exploiting the vulnerable, Lord, expose their deeds and bring them to justice. Let them face the consequences of their actions, and may they turn from their wicked ways to seek Your mercy.
We pray for supernatural strength and peace for our brother/sister. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, comforting them in their distress and reminding them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Let them find their identity in You, Lord, and not in the cruel words or actions of others. Surround them with a community of believers who will stand with them, encourage them, and advocate for them. Provide for their every need—emotionally, physically, and spiritually—as only You can.
For all those who suffer because of disabilities, Lord, we ask that You be their defender. Raise up advocates who will speak for them, protect them, and ensure they are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve as Your image-bearers. Heal the brokenness in our world that allows such injustice to persist, and let Your kingdom come, where there will be no more pain, sorrow, or suffering (Revelation 21:4).
We thank You, Father, that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You hear the cries of the afflicted. We trust in Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6), and we declare that You are their strength and their song (Exodus 15:2). May they experience Your presence in a tangible way today and every day.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen."*
Finally, we urge you to seek out a local church or Christian community where you can find support and protection. If you are in immediate danger, please reach out to local authorities or organizations that can provide safety. You are not alone in this fight—the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and we stand with you in prayer and solidarity. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will bring justice and restoration in His perfect timing.
