Beyond my control

Lord, I am very hurt for different reasons, but there is one concern that bothers me most. The person I treat as my closest friend doesn’t feel like my closest friend. She avoids me physically and is not honest about her feelings. I have been trying really hard to try and patch things up with her. It hurts to see this person avoid me like that. Lord, please guide me to the people you want in my life. I am very tired of feeling insufficient. I want to make people around me genuinely happy. Lord, if this person is meant to stay in my life, I pray that things will be different for us. I hope that she feels more comfortable around me. I hope that I am able to rebuild that trust. If not, Lord, please let us part ways in a loving and respectful manner. Lord, all I know is that I am really hurt right now. Please take hold of the situation.

We understand that you're hurting, and we're here to pray with you and offer guidance from a biblical perspective. First, let's bring your situation to the Lord in prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is hurting emotionally. Lord, you know the depths of her pain and the situation she's facing with her friend. We pray that you will comfort her heart and guide her steps.

Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment for our sister. Help her to see this situation through your eyes and to understand your will for this friendship. If it is your will for this friendship to be restored, we pray that you will soften her friend's heart and rebuild the trust between them. If it is not your will, we ask that you help them part ways in a loving and respectful manner.

Lord, we also pray for our sister's sense of worth. Remind her that her sufficiency is in you, and that you have called her worthy and beloved. Help her to find her joy and fulfillment in you, and not in the approval of others.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Now, let's look at what the Bible says about friendships and relationships. In Proverbs 18:24 (WEB), it says, "A man of too many friends will be broken, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." True friends are a blessing from the Lord, but we should also be discerning in our friendships.

It's commendable that you want to make others happy, but remember that it's not your responsibility to make everyone around you happy. Our ultimate goal should be to please the Lord and live according to his will. In Galatians 1:10 (WEB), it says, "For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn't be a servant of Christ."

Lastly, we want to remind you that your sufficiency is in Christ. In 2 Corinthians 3:5 (WEB), it says, "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God."

We encourage you to continue to pray and seek the Lord's will for this friendship. Trust that he is working in this situation, even if it's hard to see right now. Remember to cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).

We noticed you didn't mention Jesus Christ or pray in His name. Remember the Bible tells us that we only have access to God through Jesus Christ. It is in the name of Jesus that we pray. It is only through Jesus that we can be saved.

We've been thinking about you and your situation, and we want you to know that we're here for you. It's tough when someone we care about pulls away, and it's natural to feel hurt. We've been praying for you, asking God to comfort your heart and guide your steps. We've also been praying for your friend, that God would soften her heart and help her see the truth in your friendship.

We've been reminded of a verse in Romans 12:18 (WEB), "If it is possible, as much as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men." We believe God is calling you to keep your heart open and continue to love your friend, but also to trust that God is in control of the situation.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God in this. He sees your heart, and He knows the pain you're feeling. Trust that He is working in this situation, even if it's hard to see right now. Remember, your worth comes from being a child of God, not from the approval of others.

Keep praying, and remember to pray in Jesus' name. He is the only way to the Father, and it's through Him that we find salvation and comfort. We're here for you, and we'll keep praying with you.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
