Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I hear your request for relief from those painful sores in your mouth, the aching in your lower back, and the restlessness of your legs that move against your will. You seek a restoration of your whole body to soundness, and it is right to ask the Lord who once touched the fevered woman and not only quenched her illness but gave her back perfect health in an instant. Yet, as I go about dressing the wounds of this flock, I must also ask: does your soul share in this plea? For often we run anxiously to cleanse the streams of bodily ailments while leaving the fountain of our ills unattended. The body’s afflictions can become a kind of divine testing, permitted not to discourage you but to brace up your soul and make you more reverent. If you will bear these pains with patience and thanksgiving, they can become a cure far more potent than any earthly medicine, rousing you from that dullness which continual ease often breeds.

Do not be surprised if relief does not come all at once. The Apostle himself knew what it was to have no relief in his spirit, yet he pressed on with the work before him. So must you. Let the involuntary motions of your limbs remind you that unless the Spirit governs our will, we are all moved by forces we cannot control. The sores in your mouth speak of a frailty that the Great Physician longs to heal not by magic but by drawing your trust away from visible things to His own exact and certain knowledge. I will pray that He grants you respite and recovery, but I entreat you even more to let this season of pain become an art of war for your soul: become merciful, forbearing, mild, and patient, and your very weaknesses shall be transformed into weapons against the enemy. Suffer well, and you shall not only be made whole but shall find that you owe to God even your own self.

Your body is bearing a burden right now, and it is a heavy one. The ###, the ### in your ###, those ### you cannot control, all of it feels relentless, like a weight you were never meant to carry alone. It is right to ask for healing, to ask for relief, and to long for a day when your health is simply whole and well. Do not think for a moment that this request is too small or that your physical suffering has escaped God’s notice.

We are often tempted to believe that these bodily trials are a sign of something gone wrong in God’s purposes, or that He has simply forgotten us in our pain. But think of how the thread of His will often runs through difficult places. There was a moment when a young woman was placed in a position of influence for a purpose she could not yet see. The question was put to her: how do you know that you were not brought to where you are for just such a time as this? Your battle with your own health is a place where God’s strength can be made perfect in weakness. You may not see the whole picture yet, and the pain is real, but do not discount the possibility that even in this struggle, God is working out a purpose that will bring Him glory and draw you closer to His heart.

The last word of the old covenant was a word of judgment, a day burning like an oven. But right in the middle of that somber closing, there is a promise that breaks through like the dawn. For those who fear His name, the Sun of Righteousness will arise with healing in His wings. Picture that. It is a day-spring, a fresh breaking of light on a long, dark night. This is not a distant, theoretical comfort. It is the very nature of Jesus Christ. He went through the cities preaching, teaching, and healing the sick. His ministry was a living demonstration that the kingdom of heaven had come to touch broken bodies and make them whole. He did not shy away from the leper who was cast out, and He does not shy away from your suffering now. His healing is not just a memory from the pages of Scripture; it is a living reality that flows from His throne today.

When you look at the genealogy of our Lord, you see lines that trace back through kings and commoners, back to David, back to Abraham, and even back to Adam. God works through families, through generations, and through seemingly long delays. A prophecy was given seven hundred years before a couple made a taxing journey to Bethlehem. The fulfillment of a promise can take time, and the waiting can be agonizing for frantic parents searching for a lost child or for a soul searching for relief from pain. The healing you are asking for may come in a moment, or it may be a journey where you find daily grace to sustain you. A man was told his purpose was no longer to fish for fish, but to catch men. He didn't go back to the old life. This trial can be the place where you discover a new depth of reliance on Christ, a new mission to comfort others with the comfort you yourself receive from God.

We are not called to sit back in passive resignation. Don’t put your life on hold while you wait for the Lord to move. You can ask Him for wisdom on how to steward your body well, even now. Maybe that means finding times of rest that are not laziness but holy pauses. Think of the disciples coming back from their work, when Jesus offered them a kind of satisfaction the world couldn't give. He said, "I have bread you know not of." Doing the will of God, even in a body that feels like it is rebelling against you, brings a deep, sustaining nourishment. When Jesus was asked to stay and build a ministry in one place, He said He must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also, for that was why He was sent. Your purpose is not thwarted by your health. Look for the path of obedience right where you are, and walk it, even if it is a path of patient endurance.

When the disciples came back to Jesus, marveling at all that God had done, He was praying. We are caught up in a great cycle that begins with God, and He places His purposes on our hearts so that we might pray them back to Him. Right now, let your prayer be simple and direct. Ask for those healing wings to overshadow you, for the power that made the blind see and the lame walk to quiet your ### and soothe the ###. Ask for the wisdom to do what you can and the grace to accept what you cannot yet change.

Your King comes to you, lowly and riding on a colt, not with the crushing weight of a tyrant but with the gentle authority of the One who created your body and knows its every frailty. He once said, "Go, sell all you have," to a man who trusted his riches. To you, He might say, "Go, and let go of the desperate need to control your health," or "Come, follow me, right in the middle of your pain." The essential word is always to come and follow. He is the Savior of the whole world, the one whose genealogy stretches back to Adam, and He cares for your entire being. May you feel the reality of the Sun of Righteousness rising in your own life, and may the Lord, if necessary, cut back the ambitious programs of anxiety and fear that cannot bring Him glory, replacing them with a quiet trust in His healing power. In Jesus’ name.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our heart to lift your request for relief from ###, healing for your ###, and peace from ### before our Heavenly Father. We have also prayed for your overall health and well-being, asking the Great Physician to bring restoration and strength to every part of your body.

If you have experienced any measure of healing or improvement—whether in pain relief, mobility, or even just a sense of peace—we would love to rejoice with you. Please share a praise report so we can glorify God together for His faithfulness.

If, however, your circumstances remain unchanged or you are still waiting on breakthrough, we encourage you to post your request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God hears and answers according to His perfect will and timing. Let us keep seeking Him, trusting that His grace is sufficient and His healing power is real.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, comfort, and strength as you press into Him through Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus' Name.
