Lord please hear my cry I’m in a bad living situation I’m staying with my friend sister and I help her take care of her kids and cleaning up her house. Her kids don’t respect me at all and they mom treat me like trash. Lord please change my living situation please lord I’m tired

We hear your cry and we stand with you in this difficult living situation, feeling used, talked about and treated like trash while you are giving so much to help care for children and keep a house clean. We know how exhausting and discouraging it is to serve faithfully and receive disrespect in return, and we want you to know that the Lord sees all that you are doing and He hears you.

The word of God tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. We are reminded also, From the end of the earth, I will call to you when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:2. You said you are tired, and Jesus invites you, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. We encourage you to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7.

We want to gently address something we noticed in your request. You cried out to the Lord, which is good, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share why His name matters so much, because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name in prayer. It is in His name that we can boldly bring every burden to God.

We also want to speak truth about your situation. It is right to serve and to work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, Colossians 3:23, but God does not call you to remain in a place where you are being exploited or spoken of with contempt without boundaries. While we are called to love and to live at peace, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Romans 12:18, we are also called to walk in wisdom and to steward our lives with dignity as those created in God's image. We rebuke the disrespect and unkindness you are experiencing, for God calls children to honor those in authority and calls adults to treat one another with kindness and respect, and we pray that the hearts of the mother and her children would be softened. At the same time we encourage you to respond without returning evil for evil, with a gentle answer and with grace, trusting God to be your defender.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature believers in a local church who can help you practically and spiritually. Pray for wisdom about how to have an honest and calm conversation about expectations, boundaries and respect in the home. Ask the Lord to show you what is within your power to change and to provide a way forward, whether that is through reconciliation and healthier boundaries where you are, or through opening a door to a new living situation that is safe and peaceful. We also encourage you to seek provision through work and community resources as God leads, trusting His promise that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is weary and hurting. Lord, You see every dish washed, every child cared for, every harsh word spoken and every tear shed. Bring comfort to this broken heart and rest to this tired soul. Lord, we ask You to change this living situation according to Your perfect will. If it is Your will to change the hearts in this home, soften the mother and the children, teach them respect and gratitude, and bring peace into that household. If it is Your will to lead our friend to a new place to live, open the doors that no man can shut, provide safe housing, provision and supportive community. Give wisdom to know how to set healthy boundaries with grace and truth, and give courage to have difficult conversations with love. Guard this heart from bitterness and help in forgiving those who have caused hurt, while also protecting dignity as Your child. Draw this one closer to Jesus, reveal Your love and salvation more deeply, and remind them that they are not forgotten or alone, for You are near. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our access to You. Amen.

We hear how tired you are, and how heavy it feels to give so much in a home where you don't feel respected or valued. Helping with the kids and the housework every day while being talked about and treated poorly would wear anyone down. It makes sense you are asking God for a change.

You deserve to be treated with dignity, and the work you are doing matters, even when it is not acknowledged in that house. Being dependent on someone else for housing can make it very hard to speak up, so please try not to carry this alone.

One gentle next step that may help is to talk it through with one safe person outside that home, a pastor, trusted family member, or a local helping agency, who can hear the whole picture and help you think about options. It can also help to quietly write down what you are doing each day, what was agreed to when you moved in, and what feels unfair now, so you have a clear way to explain your situation when you ask for guidance. If you can, start asking what other housing or support might be available in your area, even if a move cannot happen right away, having information can give you more footing.

Father, we bring our friend to You and ask You to see her weariness and need. Give her wisdom for each day in that house, protection and rest, and open a better path for where she can live. Provide caring people around her who will listen and help, and remind her she is not forgotten. Lead her step by step as she seeks You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your cry has come before the Lord and before His people, and He who is the living God hears the weary and the heavy laden. To be used and spoken against in the very house where you dwell, to labor for others and to be treated as though your labor were nothing, is a sore trial, and weariness in such a place is no small burden.

Remember that we serve not a dead Christ, but the ever living Christ who always lives to make intercession for His people. He knows what it is to be despised and rejected, and He is full of life to sustain those who are joined to Him. What you need above all is that living, loving, lasting union with Christ of which the Scripture speaks. If you are vitally joined to Him, it shall be well with your soul even when your outward place is hard, for His life in you will be your strength and His love will be your comfort. There is no other name by which you may be saved, but by trusting Him alone, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, you shall have everlasting life and a Friend who will never treat you as trash.

The living God is the God of living men, and He sees you in that house. He marks your service, your cleaning, your care for the children, and not a cup of cold water given in His name shall lose its reward. Yet you are not called to let bitterness take root. Seek to do all as unto the Lord, with a quiet and faithful spirit, and at the same time seek wisdom to order your steps rightly.

I would urge you to bring this matter before the Lord in earnest prayer, asking Him to open a door for a more peaceful dwelling and for work by which you may provide for yourself with dignity. Seek counsel of a faithful pastor and of mature believers in a true church who can know your case and help you bear it and help you to find a better provision. If you are able, labor honestly and quietly to prepare a way out, and do not return evil for evil, either to the mother or to the children, but overcome evil with good, speaking the truth in love and setting needful bounds where you are able.

Let us pray for you. O living Father, who hears the cry of the afflicted, look upon this weary one. Give rest to the tired heart, give patience under unkind words, give wisdom to know what to do and where to go. Provide, in Your mercy, a safe and peaceful place to live, honest means to supply daily bread, and a home where respect and kindness may be known. Keep this soul in living union with Christ, sustain by Your Word which is the bread of life, and let Your ever living Son intercede and supply all need. Lead out of this hard place in Your time and in Your way, and make even this trial to work for good and for Your glory. Grant peace that comes through being justified by faith in Jesus Christ alone. Amen.

Cast your burden upon the Lord, continue in prayer and in His Word which is the living Word of the living God, and trust Him to do right, for the Judge of all the earth will do right.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
