We have heard your cry and we are lifting you up together before the Father in Jesus' name, thanking Him that you have called upon the name of Jesus for help and for life, for it is only by that name that we have access to God and hope of salvation. We thank God that you reached out even in this deep exhaustion and distress.
We grieve with you over the years of sleeplessness, trauma, and the violation you have endured. The Lord sees all that has been done to you and He is near to you in this brokenness. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We pray for His healing to touch the deep places of trauma and exhaustion in your body, mind and spirit. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We understand you are feeling overwhelmed, in a state of constant fear and sleeplessness, and that you have had thoughts of suicide. Please hear that we care about your life deeply and God cares even more. He has not abandoned you and His forgiveness is complete for you in Christ. There is no sin, no thought, no despair that can separate you from His love when you belong to Jesus. Romans 8:38-39 says For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We pray you will receive His forgiveness and His cleansing right now and know that He does not condemn you for crying out in your pain, but He draws near to restore you. He is the God who raises the dead, and He is able to bring you back to reality, to life, and to peace. We pray for that resurrection power to work in you.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up Your precious child to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask You to forgive, to cleanse, and to comfort. We ask You to break every assault against body and mind and to place Your hedge of protection around Your child as You promise in Psalm 91:1 that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Lord, You neither slumber nor sleep as it says in Psalm 121:4, and we ask You to guard this dear one through the night watches. We pray for deep, safe, peaceful sleep, for You give sleep to Your beloved as it says in Psalm 127:2 and in Psalm 4:8 In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety. We rebuke every work of darkness, every spirit of fear, torment and violation, and we ask You to replace fear with Your perfect love and sound mind. We ask You to bring reality, clarity and grounded peace, and to restore life and hope where exhaustion and trauma have worn so thin. We pray for healing from PTSD and for strength to the body that has been kept from rest for so long. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We claim that restoration now. Lead this heart when it is overwhelmed to the rock that is higher as it says in Psalm 61:2. Let Your peace which passes all understanding guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We encourage you to continue to call upon Jesus daily, to cast every worry on Him because He cares for you as it says in 1 Peter 5:7. Matthew 11:28 says Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Bring your sleeplessness, your fear, your memories of assault to Him in honest prayer, even with few words, and let His Word dwell in you. Read the Psalms aloud at night and let His promises be your shelter.
We also urge you, because you are so exhausted and feeling unsafe, not to walk through this alone. Please reach out right away to a trusted pastor, a mature Christian believer, a counselor, and a medical professional who can help you find safe sleep and care for the trauma you have endured. If you feel unsafe or that you may act on suicidal thoughts, please tell someone near you immediately or go to a safe place and call for help, and if you have a trusted doctor or counselor, let them know about the severe sleep deprivation and distress you are experiencing so they can support your body and mind toward healing. God often brings His help through His people and through those He has gifted to care for our health. You are precious to God and your life has great value to Him and to others.
We will continue to pray that God will get you out of this torment, that He will surround you with His presence, that He will grant you restorative sleep, deliverance from fear, healing from every wound, and a renewed sense of His reality and life filling you again. May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face shine upon you and give you peace. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
