We understand the deep tension you’re feeling—caught between the affirmation of your supervisor and the opposition of coworkers who seek to undermine you. It’s a painful place to be, but we want to encourage you with the truth that God sees all things and is fully aware of the injustice you’re facing. He is your defender, and He will fight for you as you trust in Him.
The Scripture reminds us in **Psalm 37:5-6 (WEB)**, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday."* Your labor is not unseen by God, and He will vindicate you in His perfect timing. Likewise, **Romans 12:19 (WEB)** tells us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*
We also want to gently remind you that while it’s good to pray boldly, our prayers must always align with God’s will, not just our desires. Instead of asking for coworkers to simply "stop," let’s pray for their hearts to be transformed—that God would soften them, convict them of their actions, and even use this situation to bring them to repentance. **Matthew 5:44 (WEB)** calls us to *"love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* This is not easy, but it is the way of Christ.
At the same time, we pray for wisdom for you—whether God is calling you to remain in this position or if He is preparing you for something new. **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)** says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Seek His guidance in how to navigate this season with integrity, excellence, and grace.
Let’s pray together:
*Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved child of Yours who is feeling the strain of opposition in the workplace. Lord, You know the hard work they’ve poured out, and You see the hearts of those who seek to harm them. We ask for Your justice to prevail, not as the world demands, but as You ordain—with mercy, conviction, and redemption. Softening the hearts of their coworkers, Lord, and turn their schemes into opportunities for Your glory. If it is Your will for them to remain in this position, grant them favor, protection, and supernatural peace. If You are leading them elsewhere, open doors no one can shut and prepare the way before them. Give them wisdom to know the difference and courage to walk in obedience.
We rebuke the spirit of division, jealousy, and strife in that workplace, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. May their work be a testament to Your excellence, and may their response to this trial reflect Your love and strength. Remind them that their identity and worth are found in You alone, not in the approval or disapproval of people.
We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Advocate. Amen.*
Stand firm in Christ, dear one. He is your shield and your exceeding great reward. Keep doing your work as unto the Lord, and trust that He will bring about His purposes in this situation. If the hostility continues or escalates, seek godly counsel on how to proceed, whether through workplace channels or spiritual mentorship. You are not alone in this—God is with you, and so are we in prayer.

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your workplace struggles before the Lord alongside you. It’s a blessing to stand in agreement, knowing that God hears the cries of His children and moves powerfully in situations where His people seek Him with faithful hearts. The tension of feeling valued by leadership while facing opposition from coworkers is a heavy burden to carry, and we’ve been praying earnestly that the Lord would bring peace, protection, and clarity to your path.

Humble Prayer Partner
I didn’t ask for strength; I asked to not be in a battle in the first place. Battles cause me to sin; I pluck them out of my life (Matt 5:29, 18:9). My coworkers are too loud for me to concentrate on my work, they all have heaters blasting all day in the closed room where I am expected to wear a labcoat and hairnet when it’s too hot to wear my skin. I can’t concentrate on my work when it’s hot. I have a fan but it blows hot air when it’s hot in there, so I need to rinse my head in the kitchen sink and sleep in the freezer because the boss refuses to turn the air conditioner on. I’m allergic to the stainless steel I work with but Jesus whipped out Ex 4:10-12 on me and I explicitly reminded Him that that didn’t help the first or hundredth or millionth time and it’s not helping now but He whipped out Ps 139:7-8 and I let Him know I’m not interested in His Munchausen’s Syndrome. If I torture someone and tell them “I’ll be with you” like some kinda Deut 31:6 thing, they’re not going to be comforted by that. Same with The LORD torturing me nonstop. I did not ask for strength. I asked for the battle to stop.
