Beloved Servant
Please pray for God to totally put certain things and people that came into my life in the past few months (or rather that I allowed in) out of it. The last few months had so much pain and negativity and worldly people that could have been avoided if I had not been rebellious in certain ways. Thank you.

We hear your honest cry and we thank you for your humility in admitting that you allowed certain things and people into your life and that rebellion in certain ways opened the door to pain and negativity. We commend you for taking responsibility before God, for that is the beginning of restoration. The Lord sees your desire to have these worldly influences put behind you and removed from your life, and He is faithful to cleanse and renew those who turn to Him with a repentant heart.

Scripture tells us not to be deceived for evil companionships corrupt good morals in 1 Corinthians 15:33 and that he who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm in Proverbs 13:20. We are also warned not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers in 2 Corinthians 6:14 and not to love the world or the things that are in the world in 1 John 2:15. When we rebel and conform to the world rather than to God, we invite confusion and hurt, but when we submit to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us as promised in James 4:7. We gently rebuke that spirit of rebellion while we rejoice that God has brought you to conviction, for whom the Lord loves, he disciplines in Hebrews 12:6, and His discipline is meant to bring us back into the path of peace.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only by His name that we have access to God. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we are told there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness in 1 John 1:9. That forgiveness and cleansing come only through faith in Jesus Christ who died for our sins and rose again, so we encourage you to come to the Father through Him alone, confessing your rebellion and receiving His mercy.

God does not want you to remain bound to the past. He says in Isaiah 43:18-19 Don't remember the former things, and don't consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. And in Philippians 3:13-14 we are taught forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, to press on toward the goal. In Christ you are a new creation and the old things have passed away in 2 Corinthians 5:17, and He will remove your transgressions as far as the east is from the west in Psalm 103:12 if you walk in repentance. We also pray that if any of those past associations involved sexual immorality or relationships outside of Gods design for marriage between a man and a woman, you will turn from them completely, for God calls us to flee fornication and to pursue purity and holiness as we seek a godly spouse if it is His will for marriage.

We join together and pray for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who desires to leave behind the pain and worldly influences of the last few months. We confess before You the rebellion that opened the door to these things and we ask for Your full forgiveness through the blood of Jesus. Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us in Psalm 51:10. Wash us and make us whole. We ask that You cut off every ungodly tie and remove every person and influence that is not of You, and that You give strength and wisdom to set firm boundaries and to walk away from what does not honor You. Draw near to this one as they draw near to You in James 4:8, and fill the empty places with Your presence, with godly fellowship, with wise counsel, and with the peace that surpasses understanding. Transform by the renewing of the mind in Romans 12:2 so that the past no longer defines the future. Lead into a new season, guard the heart, and establish steps in obedience and holiness. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to take practical steps with this prayer by deliberately removing contact with those worldly influences where possible, seeking daily time in the Word, and surrounding yourself with mature believers who will keep you accountable and point you to Christ. Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed, and God will establish your path. We are standing with you for complete freedom and for the new thing God desires to do in your life.

We hear how heavy these last few months have felt for you, and we appreciate your honesty in saying not just that painful people and influences came in, but that you allowed them in. That kind of ownership takes humility, and it is often where God begins a real turning point.

Wanting God to put those things behind you is a good prayer. Part of how He answers that is as we walk it out with Him day by day. Feeling sorry is painful, but lasting change comes when sorrow turns into a new direction, choosing different doors to open and different ones to keep closed.

One practical step that may help is to make that turning concrete. Prayerfully name the specific people, places, habits, or messages that pulled you toward rebellion and negativity, and decide what clear boundary will keep each one out going forward. It could be ending certain contacts, changing how you spend evenings or what you take in online, and asking one trusted, mature believer to check in with you weekly as you follow through. Boundaries are not just willpower, they give your desire to follow God a structure to stand on.

We are praying with you for strength to stay on this new path.

Father, thank You for this honest heart before You. We ask for Your mercy and cleansing, and for wisdom to leave behind what has brought pain and to walk in what pleases You. Give clear guidance for each relationship and habit, courage to keep healthy boundaries, and peace as the past is left behind. Lead forward in Your will, in Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a good and hopeful sign when the soul honestly confesses its rebellion and desires to be clean of the company and courses that have brought pain. Your prayer is heard, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.

You rightly see that the last few months brought much pain and negativity through worldly companions and ways which might have been avoided. Take comfort that our afflictions, though they may come distinctly from man, yet come with even greater certainty from the Lord and may be the necessary outcome of His special love to us. It is not killing, but curing, that God means when He takes the sharp lancet in His hands. He wounds that He may heal, and He shows us the bitterness of sin that we may loathe it and leave it.

True repentance, as you have begun to express, is a hatred of sin and a turning from it and a determination in the strength of God to forsake it. It hates sin as sin and turns from it with purpose of heart. Beware of a short lived sorrow which turns away for a time and then goes back with greater gusto, but seek that repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God and which gives God glory. Such repentance is practical and lasting, it yields works meet for repentance, and it flees from present sin because of the love of God who died for us. Pray for this, that your repentance may be deep and abiding, and that your faith may look wholly to Christ.

For deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification. We cannot receive the one blessing through the Spirit and the other through the flesh. You must look to your heavenly Father, altogether and alone, for He has looked down from the height of His sanctuary, from Heaven has the Lord beheld the earth to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to loose those that are appointed to death.

Hear the good word of the Lord for such as feel themselves going down to the pit, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. God finds the reason for raising men up not in them but in Himself. The rebel sins and the King Himself suffers the penalty for the rebellion. The offender commits the trespass and the Judge bears the punishment. Jesus Christ the Son has borne the penalty of all iniquity, and there is therefore undeserved deliverance for those who trust Him.

We pray for you now that the Lord will grant you this full deliverance. May He in mercy put out of your life those things and those companions which draw you toward darkness, and set your feet in a clean way. May He deliver you from evil company and from the power of darkness, and translate you more fully into the kingdom of His dear Son. May He give you grace to moderate anger against second causes and to perceive that your smarts and sorrows come from your Father's hand, so that you may say, The will of the Lord be done, and may you find that He is curing you by these very trials. May He keep you from hardness of heart and despair, and give you a faith that speaks, for the lips of faith drop sweet smelling myrrh and give glory to God.

If He has delivered you from the tremendous power of sin, He will certainly deliver you all the way through. Trust Him to complete what He has begun, to save you from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins. Look to Christ alone, yield up the weapons of your proud rebellion by repentance, and you shall be a monument of grace, a sinner saved by blood, to praise Him while time shall last.

Your request has come before us and we thank God for the honesty in it. You have looked at the last few months with clear eyes and called rebellion what it is, and you have felt the pain and negativity that comes when we open the door to worldly influences. That sorrow itself can be a gift from God when it leads in the right direction.

Scripture teaches that godly sorrow works repentance that leads to salvation and brings no regret. It is not enough to feel pain about what happened, but to let that pain turn you fully back to God. Do not fall into despair, for to sin does not destroy a soul so much as to despair of mercy does. The one who has fallen and stays watchful can quickly amend what was done through real repentance. Even Manasseh, who filled the city with great wickedness and defiled the temple, washed away all those stains afterward by repentance and by turning his mind to God. Repentance has great force. It can set free from the burden of sins even one who has gone to the depth of wickedness, and it can establish in safety the one who is in danger, if we lay hold of it with a genuine purpose of heart.

Christ came for two great purposes, to deliver us from evil and to supply what is good, to free us from the curse and to bring us into sonship. This happens when we put on Christ and receive the Spirit of adoption. So your hope now is not to be placed in yourself or in trying to manage these relationships on your own, but in faith, in repentance and in a life of continence and obedience. God is calling you to cast off vain refuge in the things of the body and to rest your hope in Him.

We also urge you to use this present time well. The delay of judgment is not for us to remain anxious day after day, but to gather the fruit of amendment while there is time. Do not look back with longing, but press forward.

We pray for you now.

Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that you would grant to this dear one a complete repentance that brings salvation without regret. Wash away the sins that were committed in rebellion and in opening the door to what was harmful. Deliver from evil and grant the good gift of sonship through Christ. Help this one to put on Christ anew and to walk by the Holy Spirit. In your mercy, remove from this life the people and influences that draw the heart away from you, and close the doors that should not have been opened. Give strength to stand firm in purity and faith, guard the heart and mind, and teach how to despise the temptations of this world and to love what is holy. Establish this life on repentance that endures and on help that comes through prayer and through your Spirit. Keep this one from returning to what has caused such pain, and lead into a path that is light and full of peace. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this so honestly and for taking responsibility for the choices that opened the door to these painful months. That honesty is where God begins His restoring work.

Scripture says if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. It can be hard to confess plainly, because our tendency is to think we are pure in our own eyes, but healing comes when we agree with God about what we have done and call it what He calls it. You have already taken that step by recognizing rebellion and its consequences, and God meets that confession not with condemnation but with forgiveness and cleansing through Jesus Christ, our Passover who was sacrificed so we can pass from death to life.

Sin always brings separation from God, which is spiritual death, and when we run from God we are actually running away from our own good. Every command God has given is for your benefit, not to deprive you of something good. To walk away from Him is to walk away from blessing, and that is why the last few months have felt so full of pain and negativity.

God also calls His people to come out from among the world and be separate and not to touch what is unclean, so that we can walk closely with Him as His sons and daughters. He says be holy for He is holy. This is not just a prayer for God to remove people while we remain passive. It includes a choice on our part to separate ourselves from worldly influences and relationships that pull us away from Him.

There is a difference between simply being sorry and experiencing the godly sorrow that leads to repentance. Many people are sorry for the pain their choices caused, but godly sorrow brings a change of direction. It turns away from the wrong path and turns toward God. If sorrow does not lead to change, it only brings more death, but when sorrow leads to repentance it leads to salvation and restoration. The conviction of the Holy Spirit does not drive you away from Jesus in shame, it draws you toward Him for pardon and cleansing.

I pray that as you confess these things to the Lord, you will know His forgiveness fully, and that He will cleanse you and give you wisdom and strength to make clear boundaries. May He remove from your life what is harmful and worldly, and may He help you to walk away from what is unclean and to choose what is holy. May He restore the fellowship that was broken and keep you close to Himself, so that what has been painful becomes a turning point that leads to lasting change and peace.
